The truth about Falun Gong, organ harvesting in China

Falun Gong is a Buddhist spiritual practice introduced in China in 1992. Through it a practitioner will find many answers and freedom from many of life's stresses.

BEIJING, March 14, 2016 – Misinformation on Falun Gong and organ harvesting dominates the press.

The main focus of Falun Gong, a type of  qigong practice that combines meditation with the moral philosophy articulated by founder Li Hongzhi, first began spreading widely in China in 1992. The goal for practitioners is improving moral character, treating things more lightly, placing other people’s needs before our own.

Through the qigong exercises, the practice promotes health and wellbeing.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had 80 million members within their Politburo Standing committee. The leader at that time, Jiang Zemin, became infuriated with Falun gongs popularity.

He set about convincing the politburo that it was in the countries best interests to break and destroy Falun Gong, which he presented as a threat to the CCP and it’s maintaining of control.

Jiang created a propaganda team the 610 Office, to create lies, instigate surveillance and intimidation to practitioners.

Jiang sent out 3 commands: Ruin their reputation; Ruin them financially; Destroy them physically.

The government spread lies about Falun Gong and manipulated Chinese patriotism. They incited hatred among the population and turned them against Falun Gong.

As part of the program, the government painted Falun Gong as a cult, whose members were crazy fanatics who committed suicide, and that they were anti-Chinese with political motives.

The massive campaign started in 1999, making Falun Gong Public Enemy Number 1.

Practitioners were rounded up in the thousands, arrested and forced into prisons or laogai (brainwashing centers) across China.

Over the years, Falun Gong practitioners endured tortures, intimidation, sleep deprivation. Criminals and secret police were rewarded for breaking the spirit of any members. They forced adherents to sign statements renouncing the practice.

Even those who signed the release are continually monitored by the authorities.

Those who refuse to sign the statement continue to face torture, often to the point of death. For those who die in custody, the government attempts to hide the evidence by incinerating the bodies and categorizing the deaths as the result of illness or suicide.

The next onslaught against Falun Gong practitioners in prison involved organ harvesting. This started with unsubstantiated allegations of inmates disappearing after blood samples were taken for no reason.

David Matas a renowned human rights lawyer and David Kilgour, a member of the Canadian senate, carried out an investigation of the allegations, including interviewing victims who had escaped.

They complied their information in two books, Bloody Harvest and State organs. Another author, Ethan Guttman, compiled his findings on organ harvesting in his book, The Slaughter.

Their report confirms that prisoners are being murdered for their organs. They note that since the year 2000, more than 10,000 prisoners a year have been targeted for their organs.

One report comes from a doctor who told the authors about taking the corneas from the eyes of prisoners.

David Kilgour posed as a potential purchaser and called Chinese hospitals about organs. The hospitals told Kilgour he could obtain an organ within three weeks.

The hospital specifically said, “we have Falun Gong here.”

In 2006, the Minister of Health for China openly stated that China was using prisoners organs and the prisoners were redeeming their crimes by consenting to give their organs. However, this contradicts evidence.

China does not have an organized donor bank. Moreover, it directly goes against an ancient Confucius belief in keeping organs in tact.

Doctors Against Forced Organs Harvest are vocal opponents of the practice and openly condemn this atrocity.

By ignoring these crimes, the world is complicit in the organ trade. By continuing to trade with China, the world is funding the regime that carries out this horrific practice.

China’s ancient history believes in a close connection between culture and heaven. Chinese culture believes that by following moral principles, society will flourish. It is important, according to ancient Chinese principals, to live harmoniously and purely.

Falun Gong also allows one to know good from evil. The government and Jiang saw this as a threat. Jiang now is facing 180,000 law suits against him, and 200 million Chinese have signed their names to a petition renouncing communism, thus removing the atheist mark of the evil red dragon.

Falun Gong is good. It is not political, it’s not a cult. It gives man insight to life and the freedom to find himself.

It is the evil of the government that the world must stop.
