CHARLOTTE, NC, December 17, 2014 – The bodies were not even cold in Sydney, Australia before the usual barrage of Muslim “backlash” stories were prominent in the media.
Consider this: a Muslim man goes into a cafe where innocent people are gathering and minding their own business. They are enjoying the day, reading the paper, drinking coffee, passing the time and suddenly they are in the midst of an attack by an Islamist fanatic. The man then holds the non-Muslim patrons at gunpoint for hours. The people are stricken with fear and some are even killed.
Each incident of this type has its own dynamics, but the end result is always the same because the goals are always the same. And the tragedy is these events have continued not for days or months or years but for decades and even centuries.
But the most disturbing aspect of it all is the reaction by the mainstream international press who immediately writes stories about a “backlash” against the Muslim community.
There are never pieces about what so-called “moderate Muslims” should do to resolve this ongoing nightmare. Somehow Muslims are always the victims. They are the ones who are being threatened.
Forget that the “backlash” never develops. Muslims are ALWAYS the victims.
Then there were the multiple reports that the perpetrator, Sheikh Man Haron Monis, was a “lone wolf.”
Here is a shocking bit of news for the international media, there is no such thing as a “lone wolf” when it comes to Islamic jihad. An individual may act alone, but first and foremost it is guaranteed that a terrorist such as Sheikh Man Haron Monis has been thoroughly indoctrinated by extremist brainwashing.
In such cases the body count has no meaning for the terrorist. He doesn’t care whether he kills one or ten or twenty or even himself. It is the fear he creates that matters. It is the perpetual thought that something could happen again at any place and at any time.
In the process, ISIS and other terror organizations use such diversions to advance their core strategies of growing their own armies throughout regions where they can gain control.
Ezra Levant, writing for the QMI Agency, summed it up perfectly in light of the recent racial protests in the U.S. “The world’s media, who overwhelmingly have no problem identifying racism as the motive of American police who shoot black suspects, were utterly baffled about the cause of this restaurant hostage taking.”
Monis was a known terrorist from Iran who even had a toll-free phone number that ended with “4JIHAD.” Among other things, he forced his hostages to hold up the black flag of Muslim extremists in the plate glass window where they were being held. He also wore a headband displaying a Muslim message.
And despite that, as Ezra Levant points out, the response was that the terrorist’s motives were unclear.
Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs has a new word for those who the politically correct crowd and the media term as “Islamaphobes.” Geller says the “fear of reprisals” should be known as “backlash-o-phobia.”
It’s a fair point. “Backlash-o-phobia” certainly has a better foundation than “Islamaphobia” by a long shot.
As so many Islamic analysts have been saying for more than a decade, “all totalitarian systems share the same goal: complete control, complete conquest.” Muslim extremists do not even hesitate to deny it.
But Geller has a staggering number that has yet to be reported in the American press when she reports that 5,000 people were slaughtered in November alone in Iraq by Islamic jihadists. That number is appalling…one country in one month with a death toll of more than 5,000.
Writes Pamela Geller boldly, “The human toll exacted by unceasing Islamic holy wars is heinous. That they are declared holy and righteous (author’s emphasis) is without precedent. And yet the world sanctions this holy war and attacks anyone who is brave enough to speak against it.”
ISIS is spreading its tentacles of evil into everything it touches. Do not be surprised to see more “lone wolf” attacks in places where they are least expected. It is all part of a diversionary strategy that allows terrorist military power and control to grow.
The time has come for somebody in Western media to step up and report the truth rather than to continue perpetuating myths about Islam.
The White House would be a good place to begin the clean up, but that cannot happen for at least two more years.
