Democrat response to terrorism in Orlando contradicts reality

Written By | Jun 20, 2016

SAN JOSE, June 20, 2016 – The horrendous act of terrorism In Orlando that took 49 innocent lives shocked the nation and the world. It is one in a pattern of terrorist acts on American soil perpetrated by radicalized Islamist terrorists. According to Omar Mateen, the terrorist responsible for the deadliest terrorist attack in the United States since September 11, 2001, and the deadliest mass shooting by a single perpetrator in U. S. history, innocent Americans are valid targets because their “filthy ways of the West…” are not acceptable to “real Muslims.”

The Orlando attack rekindled the concerns of many citizens who have lost faith in the will and/or the capability of the Obama Administration to keep Americans safe. While President Obama acknowledged that the shooting was a terrorist act, he nevertheless framed the issue as a hate-filled attack on the gay community that cried out, not for enhanced efforts to thwart terrorists, but for more stringent gun control regulations.

In his words to the families of the victims, President Obama said, “Joe [Biden] and I were talking on the way over here — you can’t make up the world into “us” and “them,” and denigrate and express hatred towards groups because of the color of their skin, or their faith, or their sexual orientation, and not feed something very dangerous in this world…”

Orlando night club attack: Hate crime or terrorism?

That is clear to most people in the most diverse nation on the planet, but what seems unclear to Obama is that this was an act of terror upon Americans because they were Americans. The attacker was not expressing hatred towards people because of their skin color, or their religion, or their sexual orientation. The prevalent or fundamental intent was to kill Americans because they were Americans.

Although Obama admitted this was terrorism, he was not willing to label the actions of the Orlando murderer as an ISIS act, even though the group itself claimed responsibility, as did Mateen in a Facebook post prior to his heinous act. He wrote, “You kill innocent women and children by doing us airstrikes…now taste the Islamic state [sic] vengeance.” as well as “In the next few days you will see attacks from the Islamic State in the usa [sic].”

Mateen’s posts had been deleted, but were later recovered and made public by the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Amazingly, in a rare moment of truth that refutes President Obama’s alternate view of reality, CIA Director John Brennan reported to Congress this past Thursday that the Islamic State was taking full advantage of casual immigration policies and weak border security to send more Jihadists to the West.

Brennan said ISIS was “training and attempting to deploy operatives for further attacks.” He explained that the radical Islamist state already has a “large cadre of Western fighters,” and are seeking ways to get more operatives into Europe and the U.S. through “refugee flows, smuggling routes, and legitimate methods of travel.” Brennan warned: “…as the pressure mounts on ISIL, we judge that it will intensify its global terror campaign to maintain its dominance of the global terrorism agenda.”

The paradigm that President Obama is operating from in order to make decisions on whether to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to protect American citizens is flawed logic. It is also a familiar and consistent refrain as he speaks regarding an enemy of the American people, and enemy of American values, and an enemy of the American way of life.

In September of 2013, an article by Guy Taylor in The Washington Times totally debunked Obama’s 2012 campaign claim that al Qaeda was “decimated” and “on the run.” The article revealed that Obama’s intelligence team had offered a very different assessment in which al Qaeda wasn’t “on the run” at all.

Obama’s Islamic terrorism rhetoric: Pure sophistry

Instead, the intelligence community reported that al Qaeda was re-arranging its resources and re-structuring its capabilities to support spinoff groups in Africa that posed fresh threats to the region and America. Taylor reported that his sources spoke on condition of anonymity, and although he credited Obama for eventually correcting the embellished campaign claims, he criticized him for waiting until the election was over to do so.

Additionally, not long ago, John Griffin in The Daily Caller quoted Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, a former Delta Force commander, as saying that “When the president refuses to obey the law, and does so in a way that we are inviting people who are here to do us harm, I don’t think there’s any question that it is unconstitutional, it is dangerous, and the American people will pay the price for this.”

Innocent Americans are paying the price for President Obama’s political correctness and deliberate, willful blindness to the reality of the ISIS threat. In fact, ISIS and Islamist extremism are at war with the United States, period. Obama and Joe Biden may want to avoid depicting the world as “us” vs. “them,” but that reality has already been established by America’s enemies. Obama and all Democrat supporters are in a dangerous state of denial. They refuse to recognize that enemies of this nation — enemies committed to destroying western civilization — are already within this nation. Worse yet, they think we should let more such enemies in, and be tolerant of such destruction.

Today the reality-denying Democrats in the halls of power have already done much to destroy the very foundations of law in our Constitution and the deeply woven values outlined in the Declaration of Independence. Democrats aligned with Mr. Obama are threatening the very fabric of the Republic.

Voters and patriots must hold them accountable for their destructive ways. The 2016 election is not      as much about parties and candidates as it is about preserving our constitutional Republic!  All true Americans must take heed, rise up, and work seriously to preserve our God-given rights and the Constitution our Founders fought and died for, and bravely enacted to secure them.
