CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, Dec. 3, 2015 – Middle East analyst Raymond Ibrahim has posted some fascinating statistics and information regarding Barack Obama and his recent “in your face” remarks about “who we are” as Americans.
While Obama and more than 100 other world leaders waste precious human energy, time and money discussing climate change in Paris, ISIS is cowering in fear somewhere in Syria worried that the global warming conference will bring an end to their “rain” of terror. (Pun intended)
Meanwhile, Ibrahim points out that the only group that has not been targeted by the Islamic State for beheadings and other brutal acts of inhumanity are Sunni Muslims. Do you not find it interesting that the great percentage of refugees entering the United States from Syria are Sunnis? Perhaps even more telling, according to Ibrahim, is that Barack Obama was presumably raised as a Sunni himself.
“In this context,” asks Ibrahim, “how are Sunnis “refugees”? Who are they fleeing? Considering that the Obama administration defines refugees as people ‘persecuted by their government,’ most of those coming into the U.S. either aided or at least sympathized with the jihad against Assad (even if they only revealed their true colors when the time was right). Simply put, some 98 percent of all refugees belong to the same Islamic sect that ISIS does. And many of them, unsurprisingly, share the same vision.”
Though he would ever admit it, Obama’s “hope and change” has been far more detrimental to the safety and security of the planet than “climate change” will ever be.
If the president is, as he says he is, a Christian, and if he does not have Muslim leanings, then explain why Christians have borne the brunt of persecution in the Middle East with little or no concern from the White House? Where are Obama’s concerns? More important, where’s the outrage?
As he has done for seven long years, the president says one thing, does another and even though the discrepancies are staring the American people in the face, he continues to get away with his obfuscations, half-truths and out and out lies.
As Raymond Ibrahim notes, “Christians were approximately 10 percent of Syria’s population in 2011, only 1 percent has been granted refuge in America. This despite the fact that, from a strictly humanitarian point of view—and humanitarianism is the chief reason being cited in accepting refugees, Obama’s ‘compassion’—Christians should receive priority simply because they are the most persecuted group in the Middle East.”
For the sake of argument, assume that Barack Obama is correct in his analysis that climate change could potentially be the most dangerous contributor to global terrorism we now face. Forget the fact the Islamic terror has been with us for 14 centuries. Suddenly the earth’s climate, which has been changing, by the way, since time began, is the single most important culprit in making terrorists act the way they do.
Amid that speculation, what if those drastic changes in the climate which are so immediate as to strike intense fear into the heart of the American president, are positive rather than negative?
Has anyone considered that aspect of the story? Why, just because temperatures are rising or falling in any given year, or ice is melting in one place and growing in another or polar bears are running out of Coca Cola to drink are the so-called changes in climate necessarily a bad thing?
Barack Obama is using the Paris climate change conference as a personal diversion from what is the true risk to international stability which is global terrorism.
As Ibrahim says, “to use the president’s own words, it is the Obama administration’s own foreign and domestic policies that are ‘shameful,’ that are ‘not American,’ and that do not represent ‘who we are.’”
Perhaps Obama is afraid that a change of one or two degrees in the temperature will make it impossible for us to wage war against the Islamic State because we will be too sunburned to fight.
The old saying goes that “talk is cheap.” That has changed too. When Barack Obama speaks, “talk” is getting more and more expensive with every passing day, because while the president and his cronies talk in Paris about obscure theories with no immediate effect on any of us, ISIS is busy thinking up new ways to terrorize the world tomorrow, and the next day and the next.
