Is Sharia Law becoming the law in Paris, London and Berlin?

Everywhere you look there is an effort by politicians throughout Europe to bow to the wishes of growing Muslim populations, and at the cost of women's freedom.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., August 8, 2017 — Drip. Drip. Drip. Ever so gradually, day by day, the Muslim influence in Europe is eroding national cultures before our very eyes.

Sharia law is slowly making its mark in cities like London, Paris and Berlin. It’s a subtle transition, almost imperceptible at times. But it’s there and it is getting worse.

The influence is so powerful that it is changing the thinking of Western leaders and societies in ways that would never have altered previously liberal ideas.

Public advertising in Paris, for example, which was once said to promote feminism and the freedom of expression for women, has yielded to less seductive images in an effort to win the battle against sexism.

Berlin is currently trending in a similar direction, while London’s Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan has banned ads that promote “unrealistic expectations of women’s body image and health.”

The Challenge of Modernizing Islam: Challenges to reformers

Everywhere you look there is an effort by politicians throughout Europe to bow to the wishes of growing Muslim populations. Feminists who once rebelled against “second class status” are now attempting to appease sharia policies.

In the Netherlands, Dutch companies are advising female employees not to wear mini-skirts or other “suggestive” clothing.

Sweden is adopting women-only hours at some of their public swimming facilities.

In Germany, letters have been sent to the parents of school children advising them not to wear “revealing clothing.”

During Ramadan in Saudi Arabia, non-Muslims are not allowed to be seen eating, smoking or drinking in the presence of believers because that is regarded as too much of a temptation for them to break their fast. The penalty for getting caught is immediate deportation.

The current trend in Europe is a similar expression of giving in to the wishes of Muslims in an effort to “get along.”

It won’t work, and anyone who believes it will is uninformed and naive.

The German newspaper “Die Welt” writes, “Instead of nipples and buttocks, should we urge the use of burqa or veil, as Mrs. Erdogan does?”

The trend has come full circle. Many German officials and observers now claim it was sexist advertising in the central railway station in Cologne that led to mass attacks on women on New Year’s Eve by overly stimulated Middle Eastern men.

Billboards featuring too much-naked skin, seductive lips, buxom bottoms and voluptuous breasts were said to be just too much for Islamic believers to cope with.

All that from a religion that promises 72 virgins to martyrs when they arrive at the great mosque in the sky.

The word “Islam” means “submission” and a “Muslim” is “one who submits.” Apparently, the concept that Western women must now “submit” to Middle Eastern mores is increasing and many Europeans are unaware it is even happening.

When Hassan Rouhani, the president of Iran, visited the Capitoline Museums of Rome, local officials went to incredible lengths to spare the president from viewing the nude sculptures.

Whatever the reason or reasons, Europeans are gradually adopting the intense inhibitions of Islamic law. In Australia “burkinis”, a modest all-covering swimsuit for women invented by Aheda Zanetti of Lebanon, are accounting for 40 percent of sales to non-Muslim women.

Everyone knows that trends swing back and forth like a pendulum. Thus the so-called “new Puritanism” could be nothing more than a fad that is temporarily sweeping across the Continent.

Looking the other way when it comes to Islam and Islamic extremism

The dangerous aspect of that trend, however, is that history demonstrates that once Muslims gain control of a place and dominate a society, the opportunity for free expression dissipates and Sharia becomes the law of the land.

Whether Westerners are merely caught up in the new wave of Islamic culture that is permeating their societies or whether they are simply too uninformed to comprehend what is happening while they watch is of little consequence.

The ultimate outcome will be the same, and ultimately Sharia will not be welcomed once it becomes the law of the land. But what if it is too late to change?
