CHARLOTTE, NC, September 18, 2017 – Just one month to the day after Issue 17 of “Inspire” magazine, the Al-Qaeda online terror guide, published a story that the newest jihadist weapon of choice would be attacking Western underground rail systems, the London Tube became a victim.
In the West, recent baseball controversies have flooded the airwaves with charges of stealing signs. When it comes to the Middle East however, Al-Qaeda tells us their strategies weeks in advance by explaining precisely what they are planning and, yet, we are still powerless to stop them.
What’s wrong with this picture?
After every Islamic attack Western leaders follow the same pattern; they express shock at what happened, they vehemently inform citizens of their resolve to halt terrorist activities, they refuse to say anything negative about Islam and they keep reminding us how much progress they have made in countering the enemy.
All of which is nothing more than empty rhetoric. Hollow words with no teeth because the truth is they have no idea how to resolve the problem. Or desire to honestly fight it.
“Londonistan” has become the popular name for what was once one of the great bastions of Western resolve and determination against outside intervention. Winston Churchill is probably turning so fast in his grave today that he is likely known as “spinning Win.”
Leela Jacinto reportedly noted the term “Londonistan” in “Foreign Policy” magazine when it “apparently originated with a sarcastic remark by a French intelligence officer frustrated by Britain’s failure to crack down on radical Islamists in their midst.”
Now there’s a case of the “pot calling the kettle black” given the number of attacks on French soil, especially Paris, in the last few years.
On August 15, this very column warned “With trains now added to the list of weaponry, security services will be further strapped for personnel working with an already thin supply of manpower.
“With more than 100,000 miles of track in the United States alone, the primary focus of Al-Qaeda is American underground systems. Meanwhile, European rail networks have even greater vulnerability thanks to superb passenger train networks as well as massive subway systems in most metropolitan areas.”
Count on it, there will be more. How many? Who can say, but success breeds success and with each new victory, Western economies must adjust to yet another facet of the Islamic playbook.
British Prime Minister Theresa May has been vocal about Donald Trump’s less than helpful tweets regarding the situation. On the other hand, the recent London attack took place on May’s home turf not in the U.S. May could have done something about it herself immediately following the publication of the Al-Qaeda magazine article, but, as usual, she let it slide until the inevitable happened. Now it is Donald Trump’s fault.
Perhaps May should look inwardly to her own British politicians who have failed on numerous occasions to pass a counter-terrorism bill, a document which has remained unapproved and unsigned since 2015.
The reason is simple of course. It always goes back to the adage of appeasing Muslims so they will “like us.” If we fight them, they will hate us even more so it is best not to upset them.
Hate is hate. Islamic hate has no limits. There are no degrees to the levels of despicable acts Islamists will initiate to reach their goals no matter how much we “make nice” with them. A rattlesnake is and always will be a rattlesnake.
And so Muslim populations grow and grow without assimilation while London’s Christians continue to decline along with the demise of its once proud British heritage.
Until that stops, Islamic numbers will increase exponentially until citizens of the UK wake up one morning in a Muslim majority nation.
Take note France, because you are next on the list along with Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium before Italy falls as the ultimate prize.
In her book “Londonistan” Melanie Phillips warned that “the intersection of an aggressive religious fanaticism with the multicultural ideology of victimhood has created a state of paralysis across British institutions.”
Sadly, it is not only Britain that is part of that equation. Many Western European nations are also in deep trouble because they refuse to fight back, even when the enemy telegraphs its goals in advance.
How desperate do people have to become to recognize the truth? How many attacks and deaths and maimed bodies of innocent people does it take to realize that negotiations are not a solution?
We don’t even have to “steal” the signs from Al-Qaeda. They tell us in advance and we still fail to do anything about it.
