DENVER, May 11, 2015 – Colorado is a state filled with beautiful destinations. Colorado Springs is one place where you can find just about anything. Home to the United States Air Force Academy, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Garden of the Gods and much more, this is a city you don’t want to miss.
Travel towards the foothills of the stunning Cheyenne Mountain and you will stumble upon Cheyenne Mountain Resort. You will find year-round recreation, signature dining experiences and calming décor at Cheyenne Mountain Resort.
The resort is also home to an incredible country club.
Entering the lobby, you are greeted with a large fireplace and a picturesque view of the mountains and resort grounds. This rustic yet elegant lobby automatically transports you to your dream mountain getaway. Your eyes are instantly drawn to an expansive deck overlooking the mountains, complete with rocking chairs and a large fire pit.
A place where one can sit for hours enjoying the view and fresh Colorado air.
The rest of the main building is filled with impeccable meeting spaces and ballrooms. There is 40,000 square feet of event and conference space. These spaces feature state-of-the-art equipment and conference technology. Some of the event spaces feature indoor/outdoor meeting space. I got to peek at a few of these spaces, and they would make for a lovely conference or even a wedding. No matter the size of your conference or event, Cheyenne Mountain Resort can surely accommodate your party.
Cheyenne Mountain Resort is also home to a country club.
Most of the country club amenities are available for resort guest use as well. You can find indoor and outdoor pools, 18 tennis courts, a stunning golf course, a 36- acre private lake and a fabulous renovated fitness center. I toured the grounds and was amazed to see all of the amenities available to resort guests. There is plenty to keep the whole family busy.
The resort calendar shows that they hold many special events throughout the year, such as, dive-in movies, teen night, s’mores parties and more perfect for a fun, family summer visit. Who doesn’t love a dive-in movie?
The resort rooms are as beautiful as the surrounding views.
Modern amenities with rustic and sophisticated décor make you feel at home while also giving you the mountain vibes the lobby provides. An enormous two-bedroom suite is spacious and well appointed.
Gorgeous French doors off the foyer lead to a massive wrap-around patio. There is a full-size dining room, living room and kitchen with a mini fridge and coffee pot.
The suite features three bathrooms and two bedrooms. The king bedroom is connected to the other room, featuring two queens. The beds are definitely the focal point of the rooms with beautiful headboards and lovely bedspreads.
The views are absolutely perfect, looking out over the golf course and to the mountains making visitors wish they could just move in. The only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of a large bathtub. I’m a bath person so I always love a large tub, but other than that it was perfect.
The resort has many dining options. From agreat lounge where you can order hand-crafted cocktails and delicious food to the seafood buffet at Mountain View Restaurant; dining was wonderful.
There is also the Pineview Grille overlooking the golf course where gourmet dishes are served.. For breakfast you can try the buffet at Mountain View restaurant. The buffet food was pretty standard, but the made-to-order omelets were fantastic.
Room service was delicious and quickly delivered, with hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
If you’re looking for a quick snack, coffee or ice cream, head to Elevations located in the main building. A coffee shop and creamery Elevations features Starbucks coffee and locally made food and ice cream. It is quick, easy and delicious food for a quick bite or something to go.
Colorado has many beautiful destinations to choose from and Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, with its many indoor and outside activities is perfect for families, couples, large groups or business.
They offer recreation options, dining and accommodations that anybody would love, go above and beyond in the service department and work hard to make sure everybody enjoys their stay.
I loved staying here and interacting with the staff. They genuinely care, and it shows in everything they do. I cannot wait for my next visit.
