Ocean Prime Blue Lounge

Their Blue Lounge is where customers can try one of the signature cocktails and listen to live music in a vibrantly colorful ambiance. Berries and Bubbles is a one of a kind creation blending citrus vodka, blackberries, house-made sour, and Domaine Chandon Brut.




When the libation poured into your martini glass, the dry ice in the bottom causes the liquid to bubble and smoke, adding to the fun and mystique of this cocktail.

Walking upstairs to the veranda for your meal, you will find the same attention to visual details in the linen-covered tables, the colorful lighting, and a grand view of the Larimer Square and the Denver skyline.

Let your server be your dinner guide

Your server will explain some of the menu’s nuances and specials that are all prepared in a made from scratch kitchen. Steaks are from prime beef and the fish selections are fresh and flown in daily.  Cameron Mitchell’s motto: The answer is ‘yes,’ What is the question? is a big part of the training. Staff go out of their way to respond to specific requests.

A team approach, which they call swarm service, ensures that all aspects are performed quickly and efficiently and with orchestral-like precision.

When in Colorado, beef rules

There are daily specials, but beef, not surprisingly, is the most popular choice.  They have a nice selection of steaks, including rib eye, New York strip, and filet mignon. These are flavorful cuts of meat, even without anything extra You can savor them with any number of their sides like the delicious chophouse corn and black truffle mac and cheese.

The add-ons, called accessories, include black truffle butter, Maytag blue cheese, and garlic shrimp scampi.

Top off your evening with a dessert, perhaps their well-known Mile High Carrot Cake. Don’t confuse this with your typical pastry as this is a full 10 layers of confection perfection laden with cream cheese frosting and drizzled with pineapple syrup.

If you are celebrating a special occasion, call ahead so that they can make your evening even more memorable. They will offer you a flute of sparkling wine upon your arrival, and if it is an anniversary, they will also provide a complimentary dessert!
