Sea life is abundant in the jewel-like green and turquoise waters. The waters surrounding the reef make for a crystal clear aquarium. Many varieties of fish, sponges, sea turtles and invertebrates, as well as corals, live there. that allows a pristine view of the wildlife that makes their home here—including groupers, eels, and sea turtles.
Whale watching is very popular, particularly whale sharks, attracting onlookers from all over the world. Peak season each year is from December through March.
A variety of bird species such as seagulls, pelicans and others indigenous to Cabo San Lucas fill the skies with their vivid beauty and inspirational songs.

A farmer’s market is held 3 times each week in Pedregal, selling fresh organic fruits and vegetables to the public.
Drinking water is likely safe at most major hotels, resorts and restaurants. Do not hesitate to ask about water quality, and immediately request bottled water if at all unsure about its purity.
Mosquito and Sunscreen protection
Insects and mosquitoes are not a major problem. However, mosquitoes can be prevalent during the rainy season from July through September, or after a thunderstorm or hurricane.
To be safe, it is advisable to purchase organic insect and mosquito spray. Using it whenever outdoors, but in particular at dusk when they are most prevalent.
Wearing sunscreen is a must in a sunny, tropical environment such as Cabo San Lucas.
Always remember to apply sunscreen when going outdoors, and reapply it following swimming or water sports both of which are plentiful in Cabo San Lucas.
