BUFFALO, NY — Every once in while we get a very special car that we are so excited to share our experience of. There is so much hype and excitement over the all-new 2020 Corvette Stingray C8; and we got the first drive – YES we drove it!

All new for the 2020 Corvette Stingray C8 is a mid-engine that is very impressive. It provides for very smooth and balanced performance that’s difficult to do with a front-engine car. The build quality and materials were the best we’ve seen from GM and Chevrolet. The exhaust sounds amazing and the power from the 6.2L V8 was impressive and well balanced. Visibility is much improved over the last two generations of the Corvette. Sadly, for us complete gearheads out there, Chevy doesn’t offer  a manual transmission, but the dual-clutch transmission shifts ultra fast and the gearing was placed in the right spot.

As North American Car, Truck and Utility of the Year Jurors we were lucky enough to drive the car before anyone else. This was an honor. Thank you GM team.

At well over 30,000 reservations on the new Corvette, it is easily the shaping up to be the best-selling Corvette, ever. Those that take delivery will be very happy with their purchase.

We share with you a ride with two engineers who were instrumental in the development of the super Sportscars. We will have a full review coming soon – but this will have to hold you over until then.
