WASHINGTON, July 11, 2014 – Twitter tells the story of King James — LeBron James, and his return to his home in Northeast Ohio and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Sports Illustrated has broken the story: Lebron James is going home. And home is Cleveland and the Cleveland Caveliers.

In Sports Illustrated, James (dictated) his thoughts to Lee Jenkins:

“Before anyone ever cared where I would play basketball, I was a kid from Northeast Ohio. It’s where I walked. It’s where I ran. It’s where I cried. It’s where I bled. It holds a special place in my heart. People there have seen me grow up. I sometimes feel like I’m their son. Their passion can be overwhelming. But it drives me. I want to give them hope when I can. I want to inspire them when I can. My relationship with Northeast Ohio is bigger than basketball. I didn’t realize that four years ago. I do now.”

Since announcing his free agency, the question of where James would land has encouraged rampant speculation.

James added to the speculation:

Prior to the announcement, NBC Sports tweeted:

At 12:08pm  USA Today posted the obvious:

Buzz Feed, about ten minutes prior to USA Today Tweeted:

However an hour back, @Hawk pleaded for the man to come back to Cleveland:

His return home is being met with many a honking horn, shouts of joy and even an airline announcement:

James says he hopes to bring a championship to his hometown, but its all about his coming home. Back to Cleveland, which has forgiven him for leaving in the first place.

And Miami is sorry to see him go:

Watching the story unfold via Twitter is nothing short of fascinating — as the Cavaliers’ next season promises to be!

Welcome home LeBron James – Congratulations Cleveland.
