LAS VEGAS, Nevada, Sept. 12, 2018 – If you aren’t able to make it to Las Vegas for the biggest boxing event of the year, not to worry. It’s 2018 and thanks to technology, you don’t have to miss a minute of any Fight Week activities leading up to Saturday’s rematch between unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and Mexican star Canelo Alvarez.
Fans greeted the arrival of Alvarez, Golovkin, and the undercard fighters at the MGM Grand Resort and Casino Tuesday afternoon with much applause. For many, it’s their only opportunity to see their favorites up-close, and perhaps get an autography or a selfie. Most of the events leading up to the fight itself are free to the public.
Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) and Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 KOs) made their grand arrivals ahead of their highly anticipated rematch on Sept. 15 at T-Mobile Arena, produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at the special time of 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
