WASHINGTON: Watching Tucker Carlson is a nightly ritual. He is one of the headier and clearer-thinking people on the Fox News nightly opinion news programs. Carlson does not hesitate to call down those who constantly fabricate. Carlson’s slogan is, “the sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness, and group think.” October 2 his book A Ship of Fools hits the shelves.
Carlson comes across like an honest fellow with a desire to inform, more so than entertain. Though Carlson is himself, very entertaining.
Carlson has a new book, Ship of Fools, coming out next week.
Ship of Fools release well timed
This last week the shameful Kavanaugh – Ford hearings has kept us riveted, not only for the hearings themselves but also the salacious and unfounded nature of the claims against the thirty-year plus Judge. Claims that logical people dismiss as being unfounded.
The stink of a political play for control of the Supreme Court is pervasive. Too pervasive to think this is nothing less than a political campaign to smear a Trump nominee. The fact that the nominee is a good family man who deserves not one minute of this circus, be damned. Facts have nothing to do with this proceeding. Fairness is not a consideration. Destruction of the Trump agenda and a conservative Supreme Court that will rule based on the Constitution is at any and all costs.
Even if that cost is the Kavanaugh children.
Ignoring Due Process at our own peril
Carlson says that in recent days one-half of the political establishment is ignoring due process and the presumption of innocence, while the other half probed the depths of a so what? Attitude. Says Carlson, regarding his upcoming book:
“It explains why the middle of the country, normal people, don’t seem to have advocates anymore.”
Brett Kavanaugh and his family are a Norman Rockwell version of the normal people the left despises.
The Beginning of political parties not what you think
American political parties are the evolution of a mindset regarding the governing of the original American union up and through the forging of a national state after the Civil War.
The concept was that on some magical date, the “Founding Fathers” jumped from some mythical tyrannical British kingdom and formed a single national state. That this new national state was made of two parties labeled, Democrats and Republicans, whose political mindset are directly opposite.
This is hokum.
The history of these two groups is more varied than a simple division of people, North, and South or even East and West.
A drum roll for The Deep State.
Currently, members of both parties bathe in the dirty water of politics. Democrats are evolving into an amalgamation of feminist thugs, notorious liars, so-called “strategists” and government office seekers.
Senator Mazie Hirono, (D-HA), speaking from the deep end of the bathtub says, “All men should just shut-up and step up.”
The only thing that smells in this situation is the stench of dishonesty and lack of integrity wafting from the oily slime that floats atop Ms. Hirono’s bath water.
Republicans – The party of clueless would-be conservatives
What does conservative mean? Republicans are “strategists,” as well. For too long, candidates campaigned on a policy for the people. Once elected, they govern on a policy of what enriches them, the party and the government. Actual care for the people is far down the list.
Have conservatives forgotten what they want to conserve?
The Democrats tax and spend, the Republicans do the same but say they don’t like it, and the Independents are taxed, spent and also say they don’t like. A pretty good guess is that the first two monsters are entrenched in the IRS, the Fed, and the hip pockets of the piddling 42%.
What the Founding Fathers envisioned, and didn’t
Many, many talk-show wonks will offer up such bromides as “The Founding Fathers never envisioned this.” So, what? The “Founding Fathers” didn’t envision a country as large as the United States populated by three hundred million plus people under a unitary despotic national government. They could not have envisioned the partisan and hateful Ship of Fools now running the deep state.
They could never have imagined the resistance and attempts to destroy a president, much less what the body politic has done to destroy Brett Kavanaugh and his family. They could never imagine a political party encouraging public violence, screaming (literally) in the public square as a form of protest

The birth of parties began early as the Hamiltonians squared off against the Jeffersonians.
And the Hamiltonians did envision such an empire run by them, while the Jeffersonians believed in local and comprehensive republic. A government of qualified representatives of a certain age and maturity guided under law.
The original thought was America as a representative republic not a democracy. Democracy is an action, not a state. But what we have is what many call a “democracy.” And all the horrible nightmares that go with it.
The Mob Rule running rampant through Washington.
The mob that seeks to rule is living in and growing, the deep state that will serve to send America down a socialist path. The very thing that drove the French Revolution into chaos. That rendered Venezuela from one of the richest economies to absolute poverty and chaos.
The American colonies did not partake in a Revolution so much as a secession movement. But political parties and the resulting Deep State have sold the people in the middle of the country Carlson speaks of, on the ideas of the French Revolution; not the American Revolution.
I hope to read the book A Ship of Fools. Carlson, the sworn enemy of lying, pomposity, smugness, and groupthink, prevalent in the Senate today promises to offer a hard look at where we are. To see not only what is wrong in the land but what is necessary to get it right. I hope righteousness doesn’t come via the Guillotine.
