Trump vs. Clinton 2020: Is the Deep State coming for the Oval?
WASHINGTON: With Congress returning this week, the 2020 election, and impeachment quest ramps up. Numerous pundits and opinion writers have predicted that Hillary Clinton will be Democrat savior. Including the artist, Ben Garrison, behind the lead cartoon. Is Hillary the one that, this time, will beat Donald Trump? Can the mistress of the Deep State deny him of his second term? Will Hungarian Billionaire and Deep State God Father, George Soros be willing to support another Clinton – Deep State run? Because out of all the DNC contenders, Hillary Clinton alone reigns as the Queen of the Deep State globalist agenda.
What will the DNC do to regain the White House?
The idea of gaining the Oval is enough to make the sinister hearts of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Jerry Nadler and the rest of the Democrat leadership shake with glee. Mark my words, as easily as the pushed Bernie aside, they will push any of the remaining Democrats running for the nomination to the side.
What is the proof? Will maybe not proof, but a solid indication she plans to run is the fund-raising dinner planned for October.
Ben Garrison, Grrr Graphics, writes:
It probably won’t matter either way to Hillary, who is holding a $50,000 per plate fund-raising dinner party at her mansion. She’s amassing another huge war chest already. During her last run for the White House she outspent Trump 2-1. Maybe this time it will be 3 or 4 times to 1. Does anyone really believe she’s doing all of this just to fork it over to someone like Beto or Warren? I think not.
In their article Paul Ryan is back, Politico writes:
“HILLARY CLINTON is hosting a big-dollar fundraiser for the DNC at her D.C. mansion (just around the corner from VP Mike Pence’s house). The Oct. 16 event is billed as “Dinner and conversation at the home of Hillary Rodham Clinton.” Tickets are available at $15,000, $35,000 and $50,000 levels.”
While the headline is Paul Ryan’s return, don’t be fooled. The flyer lets you know that this fundraiser is for the DNC. That Hillary is hosting the soiree leads to speculation as to who these funds are being raised for.
Predicting a Hillary Clinton Presidential Run in 2020
PredictIt.org is a project of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. So no real dog in this fight.
The site defines itself as:
PredictIt has been established to facilitate research into the way markets forecast events.
In order to enable researchers to take advantage of the opportunities presented by prediction markets, we make our data available to the academic community at no cost.
According to their Terms and Conditions, the website supports the operation of a “predictions market”, a facility for buying and trading futures contracts linked to political or financial events or circumstances.
The site is showing a September 2019 spike in predicting Hillary’s return to the campaign trail:
Are Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren joining forces
There is an appetite in America for the first female president over the most qualified person for the presidency. As though being female provides you a gravitas that makes you more qualified. Which is balderdash.
That is not stopping the possible rumors of a Clinton – Warren or Warren – Clinton tickets. Would Clinton take the V.P. slot? Possibly. At 71 in 2019, she will be 75 in 2024, a year younger than Biden is today. The same age Trump will be when he becomes #46. However, out of the three, Trump is without a doubt physically and mentally more fit than either.
And as our first Billionaire president, he does not need to court the donations of the party elite. Axios reports (Q2 fundraising: Trump still winning the money race):
Presidential candidates’ fundraising through June 30, 2019:
RNC 2020 political war chest is overflowing
The Trump – RNC war chest, that funds the presidential and down-ticket campaigns is easily three times that of the Democrats. As we learned in 2016, Democrat’s fundraising for elections does not necessarily transfer to the down-ticket races, opening the door for the Republicans to regain the House after the 2016 defeat. (Beto O’Rourke will not share $38 million he raised with other Dem Senate candidates) When asked if he would help support other Democrats with fundraising dollars, O’Rourke said no:
O’Rourke added that he is honoring “the commitment that those who’ve contributed to this campaign have made to me.”
“If they want to contribute to someone else, they should do so. If they want to contribute to a campaign that’s going to win this historic victory for Texas and the country, then I’m grateful for the contribution and I’m going to make the most of it, so that’s what we’re focused on,” he said.
Warren’s 2020 fundraising puts her earning power below Biden, however with Clinton at the top of the ticket, that could very well change. Leading to the question, is America ready for a Clinton – Warren ticket?
Warren says she is (Warren: I would’ve accepted a VP offer from Clinton):
Clinton “seriously weighed” Warren as a potential running mate (in 2016), the report states, and top aide Philippe Reines wrote in a memo to his boss after their meeting: “If a crystal ball said she wouldn’t antagonize you for four years, it’s hard to argue she isn’t the most helpful for the next four months to get you elected.”
Asked whether she would have agreed to become Clinton’s No. 2 on the ticket, Warren responded: “Yes.”
So what might have changed between 2016 and 2020? Democrats inability to destroy Donald Trump with lies and innuendo, all designed to protect Mrs. Clinton from the many alleged and proven high crimes and misdemeanors (The Russia Hoax – The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump).
Returning to our political cartoonist at Grrrrr Graphics, Garrison he writes:
Hillary controls her party. She rigs primaries. She dictates policy, strategy, and staffing. She owns it. She’s the dictator of her party. Can you imagine Stalin handing her reins of power over to a subordinate? Of course not. Neither will Hillary. Like Stalin, she lives for power and control. She enjoys flaunting her corruption and evading justice. She’s a sociopathic criminal who spent most of her life angling toward the presidency. She’s not about to give up her goal now.
Hillary will be seen as the hero who arrives to save the day for the Democrat Party. Instead, she’ll complete its destruction.
Why does the opinion of a cartoonist carry weight?
Founding Father, patriot and recognized as one of America’s leading thinkers, Benjamin Franklin published what many consider to be among the first, if not the first, political cartoons:’
The most telling of the time is the woodcut drawing entitled ‘Join or Die.’ A snake divided into eight pieces representing the various colonial governments. The drawing was based on the popular superstition that a snake that had been cut in two would come to life if the pieces were joined before sunset. Political cartoons resonate because they have an underlayment of truth behind their images.
The drawing quickly became popular with the public and was reproduced in newspapers across the Colonies.
Today’s political cartoons are an important addition to our political discourse. Political cartoonists like Garrison and Branco at Politically Incorrect. With their colored pens and brushes, these political commentators share today’s political stories in images:
And as the adage goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.
What remains to be seen is whether the American electorate will remember the picture of Hillary Clinton allowing the deaths of the Benghazi four – Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith of U.S. Foreign information services and CIA contractors Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty.
Or will voters forget that Clinton ignored a Congressional Subpoena in destroying over thirty-thousand emails through the use of the BleachBit program and hammers?
Elizabeth Warren is a flawed 2020 candidate hungry for political power.
Hillary Clinton is a flawed human being who has spent the time since her loss doing everything to not only protect her alleged criminality but also to whine about her 2016 loss. The Atlantic positions the 2020 elections as “A Nation of Pundits -Electability is king in the 2020 Democratic primary as voters are choosing candidates they think their fellow citizens would support—not the ones they actually like best.
Jill Biden may have summed up the 2020 voters best. You might just have to hold your nose and vote for who you think is best. Her best is anyone who can beat Trump, whom she feels is Joe Biden.
What Dr. Biden is missing is that electability isn’t an easily definable trait in politics. 2016 proves that. Electability in a politician is a reflection of the social media and commentary people read online or see on cable new. As a predictor of election results, the concept of electability is flawed.
Just ask presidential hopefuls Joe Biden, Jeb Bush, John Kerry, Mitt Romney, and Hillary Clinton. Each one a sure win. Each one a definitive loser.
