WASHINGTON: The Trump – Pence campaign set a $7 million fundraising goal for the day of the President’s Election 2020 announcement in Orlando, Fla. In a fundraising memo to supporters, President Trump writes:
“I want to do something so HUGE to launch 2020, even Democrats and the Fake News won’t be able to ignore. We need to raise $7,000,000 by 11:59 PM TONIGHT.”
Instead, raising nearly $25 million, the President won bigly in his first day of official campaign fundraising. In perspective $25 million is more than what each of the top five candidates for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination raised combined in the first 24 hours after they launched their campaigns.
Fox News reports, no candidate for the Democratic nomination even hit $20 million in the entire first quarter of the year. (The $1 billion ask: Trump all-in on fundraising for 2020)
In comparison, President Barack Obama raised $86 million during the entire first quarter of his 2011 reelection campaign in. And giving the former president credit, that is a lot of money.
However, the Trump Republican war chest has more than $93 million. It is only a matter of time before it hits that $1 Billion mark. Money to be used for the President’s reelection and down-ballot Republican races.
RNC spokeswoman Ronna McDaniel says there have been more than 1.1 million new donors since Election Day 2016. 100,000 just in January. She added that there have been at least seven days with seven-figure small-dollar hauls so far this year.
There is little doubt that President Trump knows how to make money.
In addition to the cash, the Trump campaign knows how to collect millions of voter information. At the Orlando rally, 20,000 made it into the Amway Arena, however, the RNC collected the names of well over 120K individuals who are likely Trump voters and donators.
From one event. In Florida. Held along the I-10 corridor. A must win for any Presidential candidate. The RNC was able to collect over 120K names, addresses, email, and phones. If Trump did not raise another dollar, only collecting voter data, he would still handily win the 2020 election.
The Deplorables will reelect President Trump
With donations being mostly under $200, the vast majority of the Trump war chest comes from Nancy Pelosi’s hated Deplorables. The fifty percent of America that so soundly rejected Hillary Clinton.
Which means that the Democrats are poorly positioned for this campaign. Trump, one candidate, is out raising them, out messaging them, can run on a period of unprecedented job and economic growth and, unlike 2016, has a well-oiled campaign structure, headed by daughter-in-law Laura Trump.
Only the most vehement Trump haters, those who would elect an orange over the “orange bad man” have no reason to not vote for Trump. He has handled the crisis at the border, without Democrats. Trump is working to remain strong, but not at war, with Iran. He has, as stated, unprecedented domestic success with jobs, the economy and bringing business back to America. We are now a leading exporter of energy. President Trump is selling American Rice to China. Think about that. For just a moment.
America is now selling rice to China.
In December of 2018, China opens the door to imports of rice from the United States for the first time. Ever. This action was taken as an indication of the world’s two biggest economies warming. And a step in avoiding more tit-for-tat tariffs.
Socialism: A political alternative that is anathema to most Americas.
Democrats are offering socialism as their only alternative.
The Democrats have a couple of dozen candidates, each chipping away at the overall dollars being donated to Democrat candidates. When those candidates start falling away, there is no mandate that they must turn their fundraising dollars to the DNC. Instead, they will horde those dollars and cents for a future battle, local or national.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is likely to be Trump’s competition in the 2020 election, has raised the most out of the candidates for the Democratic nomination at $21 million. Following his failed 2016 bid, the Vermont Senator was able to transfer money left over from his Senate bid to his 2020 war chest. Not the DNC. (What Happens to Campaign Contributions After Elections?)
Which is just one more reason Democrats are desperate to regain the White House. Without successfully putting a Socialist into the Oval in 2020, the chance that they can recover financially is dim. The result is that we see the Obama administration meddling in 2020.
Forget the Russians, it’s the Obama Administration meddling in 2020
A former senior adviser to President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett says the president is deeply concerned with the state of the country. As well he should be. Democrats cannot fight against the Trump economy, jobs numbers, progress on trade.
Trump has Made America Great Again and Trump will Keep America Great in 2020.
What Obama, and his administration, including Ms. Jarrett, should not be doing is exactly what the are doing. Inserting themselves into discussions, particularly with global leaders, to undermine President Trump.
A move straight out of the Obama playbook when he told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”
Obama interfering with the 2020 elections.
Like a good ex-President, Obama should be working for humanitarian clauses. Or he should be sitting on Richard Branson’s tropical beach. Or, he could extend his vacation on Lake Como with George and Amal Clooney. (The Obamas drop in on the Clooneys!)
But he should not, at this time and place, be stumping for or against any candidate. There is a time and place for him to appear. However, that is at the DNC convention. Not on the campaign trail. Not on the world stage.
Politics stops at the water’s edge
President Obama should not be telling world leaders to “wait-out Trump” because unless the DNC has some massive election fraud planned, there is no guarantee they will take back the Executive Branch.
Ex-President Obama, Hillary Clinton and others, including Jarrett should take a lesson from Ex-President Jimmy Carter and the good work he has done. (The Carter Foundation). Instead, Obama administration leaders are out on an international tour against the President and his agenda.
On Fox News “Outnumbered” General Jack Keane tells the audience that “a former Secretary of State is alerting Iran to wait out Trump.” Which may be a long wait. Around six years to be exact.
In a September 2018 article, Obama delivers full-throated rebuke of Trump’s presidency (Politico) we learn that Obama’s quiet duplicity is nothing new. More recently Obama met with Germany’s Angela Merkel (Obama Meets Germany’s Merkel at Chancellery in Berlin). Steffen Seibert, Merkel’s spokesperson, says that Merkel meets with ex-heads of state and government “with whom she worked together closely and well for a time.”
Seibert also says the meeting has no implications for current German-U.S. relations. However, it is incredulous to believe that their conversation was about children and the weather any more than Ex-President Bill Clinton’s tarmac meeting with AG Loretta Lynch. A story that got little coverage in the mainstream media.
The Obama administration and Ex-President Clinton shrugged it off as a coincidental and innocuous meeting. However, due to the fact that the former First Lady, Hillary, was under investigation, that rings hollow.
Nonetheless, Obama is speaking out against the Republican Party and President Trump who, Obama says is “a symptom, not the cause” of radical right-wing politics—during last year’s midterm elections.”
What Ex-President Obama and his cabal are missing in translation is that Trump and the RNC have a full-house – not just at campaign rallys but in the cards. And the winning hand will take the election in 2020. A personal prediction, if I may. Trump will win by a landslide – both in the Electoral College and the popular vote.
And then the Ex-President and the Democrat’s caterwauling and fights over the 2020 election will begin. Can’t say America is looking forward to that.
