WASHINGTON, April 10, 2014 — The Republican Party of Virginia has a newly appointed executive director whose ideas appear anything but conservative. In fact, he says that any Republican who opposes amnesty is a “nativist” motivated by hate.
Shaun Kenney met with open borders advocates earlier this month. The event was videotaped and a recording of the discussion was leaked to the Daily Caller.
Here is the footage of the proceedings, which reveals the intentions of GOP officials to purge conservatives from the party:
In the video, Kenney thanks Eliseo Medina, the Secretary-Treasurer of Service Employees International Union (SEIU), for joining him, suggesting she was present during the discussion. Medina is on record saying that the legalized status of 15 million illegal aliens under proposed “immigration reform” bills, such as S744, will give Democrats the numbers they need to make the GOP an irrelevant party nationally. At an immigration conference in 2010, Medina said:
If “we reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million people on the path to citizenship and eventually voters … if we get 8 million new voters … we will create a governing coalition for the long-term.”
“A governing coalition for the long term” translates to single party control of American politics, “for the long term.”
Kenney tells his guests at the meeting:
“This is not an issue of Right or Left, it’s an issue of right and wrong, agreed? [murmurs of agreement from audience] … But to have the courage to come down here and do that, and make whats on your hearts and on your minds known, that’s exactly what this world needs now. And that’s exactly, if we’re going to have any sort of solution on immigration policy that is moral, that is just, that honors the sacrifices not just of our family and friends and our forefathers but what America ought to be, you’ve done a small part here today. I can’t thank you enough for coming here today, I really can’t, and I mean that sincerely. I’m not just saying that like some slick politician.”
If Kenney is referring to American forefathers, he needs only to look thousands upon thousands of grave markers in our national cemeteries to see clearly the sacrifices American veterans have made to uphold a nation of laws. Perhaps he is talking about the forefathers of those illegals who have violated our national law, or the supporters of amnesty, which makes a mockery of those laws.
Kenney’s additional statements show Republicans they have traitors in their midst, claiming to be conservatives, but in reality at work to sabotage a party that claims to stand for “a nation of laws, not a nation of men.”
“The nativists have no home in the modern Republican Party, they have no place in the history of a Free America… They deserve nothing more than a footnote to the ignorance that liberty rightly stamps out… Conservatives are smarter than this, and America deserve better than nativist hate. Drive ‘em out, ladies and gentlemen. Generations are watching.”
Oh, we’re watching all right, Mr. Kenney. Don’t be too sure that you, yourself might not be the one to be driven out.
