WASHINGTON, February 23, 2015 — During his speech at last week’s terror summit, President Obama said, “The notion that the West is at war with Islam is an ugly lie and all of us, regardless of our faith, have a responsibility to reject it.”
The truth remains that the West is at war with Islam and has been for 1400 years.
The Obama Administration line is that terrorists are essentially disenfranchised men whose violence stems from joblessness, not religious philosophy. According to Obama:
“We have to confront the warped ideologies espoused by terrorists like al-Qaida and ISIL, especially their attempts to use Islam to justify their violence … When people, especially young people, feel entirely trapped in impoverished communities, where there is no order and no path for advancement, where there are no educational opportunities, where there are no ways to support families and no escape from injustice and the humiliations of corruption, that feeds instability and disorder, and makes those communities ripe for extremist recruitment.”
The answer to stopping terrorism is not offering the brutes minimum wage jobs at Wal-Mart; the answer is, “send in the Marines!”
The administration narrative makes Islamic terror groups analogous to inner city gang-bangers luring young, impoverished kids into gangs:
“We must acknowledge that groups like al-Qaida and ISIL are deliberately targeting their propaganda to Muslim communities, particularly Muslim youth. Muslim communities, including scholars and clerics, therefore have a responsibility to push back, not just on twisted interpretations of Islam, but also on the lie that we are somehow engaged in a clash of civilizations, that America and the West are somehow at war with Islam, or seek to suppress Muslims, or that we are the cause of every ill in the Middle East.”
So what we need is for a Big Brother, faith-based program to get involved in the lives of Muslim youth, and they will stop beheading civilization.
Mr. Obama, history loudly contradicts your remarks.
“Christians in the eleventh century were not paranoid fanatics. Muslims really were gunning for them. While Muslims can be peaceful, Islam was born in war and grew the same way. From the time of Mohammed, the means of Muslim expansion was always the sword. Muslim thought divides the world into two spheres, the Abode of Islam and the Abode of War. Christianity – and for that matter any other non-Muslim religion – has no abode. Christians and Jews can be tolerated within a Muslim state under Muslim rule. But, in traditional Islam, Christian and Jewish states must be destroyed and their lands conquered. When Mohammed was waging war against Mecca in the seventh century, Christianity was the dominant religion of power and wealth. As the faith of the Roman Empire, it spanned the entire Mediterranean, including the Middle East, where it was born. The Christian world, therefore, was a prime target for the earliest caliphs, and it would remain so for Muslim leaders for the next thousand years.”
Islam’s ideology promotes violence. It promotes war and bloodshed.
The President shows a disregard for America, the truth, and the war to rid the world of ISIL when he makes excuses for Islamic terrorism and calls the truth “an ugly lie.” The truth is that Islam is at war with the rest of the world.Click here for reuse options!
