WASHINGTON, September 27, 2014 — The Clinton dynasty of strong women continues with the birth of Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Clinton and Mezvinsky met while attending Stanford, marrying in 2010.
The former president and first lady said in the statement on Saturday, “Charlotte’s life is off to a good start. Chelsea is well and glowing. Marc is bursting with pride. Charlotte’s life is off to a good start.’’
Grandfather Bill is a past president, Grandmother Hillary is a past senator and secretary of state, and may be a future president. Chelsea Clinton serves as vice chair of the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, directing the organization’s humanitarian and philanthropic efforts around the globe.
Chelsea Clinton, aged 34, said last year “I just hope I will be as good a mom to my child and, hopefully, children as my mom was to me.”
