WASHINGTON: Republican members of the House Intelligence Committee all sign a letter calling for Adam Schiff to resign. California’s Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee has refused to step down from the committee.
Rep. Mike Conaway, R-Texas, introduced the letter excoriating Schiff during a public committee hearing Thursday and then read it aloud.
“Your willingness to continue to promote a demonstrably false narrative is alarming. Your actions both past and present are incompatible with your duty as chairman of this committee.” – Mike Conway
Schiff has been on TV more than 240 times since the 2016 election, including 111 MSNBC appearances and 87 CNN appearances. Schiff has long insisted that the Trump campaign colluded with Russians in the 2016 presidential race.
His appearances are often summaries of the leaks he has provided to the media.
Schiff was elected to the House in 2000 after Democrats spent major money to unseat James E. Rogan. Rogan is the Glendale Republican who helped prosecute President Clinton in his 1999 Senate impeachment trial.
