NEW ORLEANS: Judge Brett Kavanaugh is now United States Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Fifty senators, including Democrat Joe Manchin, voted to uphold the rule of law. Forty-eight senators chose to let uncivilized savage barbarians carry the day. By this margin of two votes, the violent leftist mob was defeated by those supporting law and order. Like most mobs, the well-funded, well-organized anti-Kavanaugh leftists vented, fumed, raged, threatened, threw dangerous objects, and terrorized their opponents.
This mob was defeated by the only thing a mob respects: superior force in the form of hard power.
The Vindication of Brett Kavanaugh
The confirmation was vindication for Kavanaugh, who saw his name slandered and his children threatened. It was also sweet vindication for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He hung tough in the GOP goal to confirm Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Regardless, Mitch McConnel steadfastly refused to become a victim of violent bullying.
Despite threats to himself and his wife, he never backed down.
The confirmation was a defeat for hypocrites.
Judge Kavanaugh had his ethics questioned by severely ethically challenged individuals. Senator Kamala Harris slept her way to power by being Willie Brown’s mistress while he was married. Sen. Richard Blumenthal repeatedly lied about serving in Vietnam. Senator Cory Booker publicly admitted to committing sexual assault.
Senator Dianne Feinstein took a soft line on China for decades due to her husband’s business dealings with the Communist regime.
The confirmation was a defeat for those lobbying false accusations of sexual assault.
From the Tawana Brawley imbroglio to the accuser of the Duke Lacrosse team, history is replete with false accusations of male sexual assault. Americans were told that Christine Blasey Ford had nothing to gain by coming forward. Her seven figure GoFundMe page would dispute that. She is now a wealthy woman.
As for Kavanaugh’s other accusers, they were even less credible. Their stories quickly collapsed, deservedly so.
The confirmation was a victory for President Trump
However, Justice Kavanaugh’s confirmation is an even bigger victory for his voters. Mr. Trump made a percentage of his supporters uneasy. He was a wild card. Now we see that he is a man who makes big promises and keeps them.
The confirmation was a major victory for the Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, and other conservative think tanks. The easiest part of President Trump’s job is picking judicial nominees.
The lists are ready and waiting for him.
The confirmation was a defeat for those who have in the past used the courts to legislate from the bench.
Now liberal Democrats will actually have rally millions of voters to support their agenda. Rather than relying on nine people in black robes. Democrats will now shift from rioting over Judge Kavanaugh to rioting about the midterm elections.
And riot they will. They will riot, loot, and burn down institutions in their spirit of “coming together” and “going high. What their mob will not do is stop this nomination.
Turn out the lights. The party’s over.
Kavanaugh won. The rule of law won. The violent barbaric mob lost.
For that reason, America itself won.
