WASHINGTON, July 7, 2015 – Hillary Clinton is an old dog who cannot seem to learn new tricks. In an interview broadcast over the dying and little viewed CNN cable news network, Hillary was asked to explain her trust deficit with voters.
Clinton said it is the fault of the constant “attacks that are largely fomented by, and coming from, the right.”
Americans don’t care whether their politicians are habitual criminals or suffer chronic ethical lapses. They just want to know a politician’s plan for picking the pockets of one group of Americans in order to line their own.
It’s obvious that Hillary’s head is hopelessly stuck in the 1990s. If not, she would realize that what threatens her presidential ambitions isn’t coming from the right. Conservatism, after all, is in free-fall as evidenced by the rise of Jeb Bush within the ranks of the so-called “right.”
The real threat to Hillary is coming from the vast, left-wing conspiracy, and its name is Bernie Sanders.
America is becoming Greece. And as we saw last weekend, the Greeks are wedded to pan-Hellenic socialism, even unto death.
Last week, the U.S. government announced that America’s labor participation rate dropped to 62.6 percent, the lowest since 1977. That means a whopping 93.6 million able-bodied Americans are twiddling their thumbs waiting for our welfare-state economy to take off.
Just in passing, Greece’s labor participation rate is around 53 percent.
If you are wondering why the barbarians – China, ISIS, Russia – are chipping away at the fringes of the American republic, it’s because the United States and the rest of the Western World are in a race to the bottom.
If democracy represents the popular will, Greece, Venezuela and now the United States represent civilizational exhaustion.
Socialism is not a political philosophy. It’s a desperate cry for help.
“We are worried about him [Sanders], sure,” said Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton communications director, to MSNBC. “He will be a serious force for the [Clinton] campaign, and I don’t think that will diminish.”
According to socialist Bernie Sanders, “American democracy is not about billionaires being able to buy candidates and elections. It is not about the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson and other incredibly wealthy individuals spending billions of dollars to elect candidates who will make the rich richer and everyone else poorer… This is not democracy. This is oligarchy.”
Actually, that is democracy.
In a pure democracy, the fight is over who controls the hangman’s noose. If the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson spend billions of dollars to buy political candidates, it’s because they have a lot to lose.
If doe-eyed Americans ever stopped to take a moment for serious reflection, they might realize that Democratic Party demagogues are the reason the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson waste billions attempting to fend off nefarious parasites like Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders… and, well, you.
America was once a society that prized liberty above democracy. The two, after all, are mutually exclusive ideas. The Bill of Rights attests to the fact that our Founders believed unalienable, individual rights trumped the democratic will (“Congress shall make no law…”).
Wealth creation is the residue of a free society. America was once rich because its people were once free. And in a free society, billionaires are too busy creating wealth to worry all that much over who sits in Congress or the Oval Office.
If you are among the 96.3 million Americans who have lost hope of ever finding gainful employment, be sure to thank socialists like Bernie Sanders for forcing billionaires to spend ungodly amounts in protection money to politicians than in creating jobs.
Non-workers of the world, awake from your deep slumber. You have nothing to lose but your socialist chains.
