WASHINGTON: Where the hell are the Capitol Hill Republicans? Have you noticed how quiet they are as another Democrat/Deep State hoax is perpetrated against President Donald Trump? With the exception of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, can you name another Republican interested in the origins of the Obama/Deep State plot to overthrow a duly elected Republican president? In an unconstitutional, illegal coup no less?
Why don’t turncoat Senator Mitt Romney and other sleepy Republicans hear President Trump’s wake-up call?

Whistling past the graveyard
So have Romney and those sleepy Republicans expressed much in the way of curiosity concerning the motives of a shadowy CIA āwhistleblowerā? One whose hearsay, a secondhand complaint against the president presents a clearer picture of Obama administration corruption than anything approaching impeachable offenses?
And the CIA stooge in question seems to have coordinated with Democrat Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff. Time for the Romney and those sleepy Republicans to listen to Trump’s wake-up call.

Looking for answers
Before heading off to Florida, President Trump suggested that Beijing look into Hunter Bidenās business dealings in their little corner of hellās half-acre.
Some in the press have even suggested Trump may make trade concessions to China in exchange for their coughing up information on Hunter Bidenās business dealings there. And whether they were the result of a quid-pro-quo arrangement with then-Vice President Joe Biden.
But such an investigation isnāt of much interest to our corrupt FBI and equally dishonest mainstream media. Nor, it seems, to the intellectually challenged members of the GOPās sleepy establishment.
Leading from behind

Sen. Mitt Romney. CDN screen capture.
Since the death of Arizonaās Senator John McCain, the GOP establishmentās new leader is the freshman Republican Senator from Utah, Mitt Romney.
Of Trumpās quest for answers concerning Obama administration corruption in China and Ukraine, Romney told the Washington press corps:
āWhen the only American citizen President Trump singles out for Chinaās investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated. By all appearances, the Presidentās brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling.ā

Trump strikes back
This elicited a quick rebuke from Trump via Twitter:
āSomebody please wake up Mitt Romney and tell him that my conversation with the Ukrainian President was a congenial and very appropriate one, and my statement on China pertained to corruption, not politics. If Mitt worked this hard on Obama, he could have won [in 2012]. Sadly, he choked!ā
Appropriately, Trump reminded loser Romney heās the āpompous ass.ā He ābegged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him).ā
You see, Trump must ask China and Ukraine for assistance in uncovering Joe Bidenās corruption because Democrats, the media, and their friends are covering for him. Unfortunately, these friends include uninquisitive, clueless, never-Trump Republicans. Sleepy Republicans like Romney.
Romney Republicans: Just like McCain
Romneyās brand of Republican ā those with perpetual kick-me-signs taped to their backsides ā are much more comfortable belonging to a minority party. Such a party is comprised of ineffectual politicians who believe political combat is hard, dirty, hair mussed, and just plain yucky. Just like Romney and his fellow sleepy Republicans, generally known as RINOs. That is, those Republicans In Name Only.
This failure to deal with reality, not to mention an uncanny inability to hear Trump’s warning call explains why the GOP continues to shrink.
According to Douglas Perry of the Oregonian:
āThe GOP holds the White House and the U.S. Senate. But if current trends continue, it soon might be struggling to maintain its major-party status. Registered Republican voters in the country are on the verge of being overtaken by independent voters, according to data from July 2018.ā
A GOP comprised of lifeless stiffs like Mitt Romney deserves to die. So the only hope for combative populists and conservatives anxious for political combat may lie in Trumpās healthy arrogance.
So, what if Trump announced the formation of a MAGA Party following his departure from Washington in 2024? Does anyone believe the GOP would survive the ensuing mass exodus of rank-and-file party members?
A recent Gallup survey says they support the president by 87 percent?
Time to dump these GOP chumps?
As the pearl-clutching among the GOPās Romney-like geldings proves, Trump owes the Republican Party nothing. If they can’t bother with Trump’s wake-up call, why bother with them?
Todayās GOP doesnāt seem to have much fight left in it. Even when the titular head of their party is threatened with fake-but-real impeachment.
So, the question we must ask ourselves is: āWhat good are they?ā
