President Obama’s optimistic vision of the future

In his final State of the Union address President Obama offered the message of hope and optimism for America that has framed his presidency.


WASHINGTON, Jan. 13, 2016  – President Obama stood before Congress to deliver his final State of the Union address, saying a better future is in reach but only “if we fix our politics.”  The president’s remarks were responded to by Nikki Haley, governor of South Carolina.
