AMERICA, December 31, 2014 — With 2014 mercifully in the can, the world is optimistic about 2015. After all, if we weren’t optimistic, why would be continuing to work so hard?
So, with optimism in the driver’s seat, following are wholly unqualified predictions for 2015.
World peace: We won’t see it. In fact, we will probably see continued Russian expansionism, with a complete Russian absorption of Ukraine, if not a direct conquest.
ISIS, now overextended and with its opposition coalescing, will become more fanatic.
Other Muslim-centered fanatics will continue to kill, maim, plunder, and ravage. The Obama Administration, whenever it is caught flat-footed, will continue to make up new names; Khurasan Group was such a place-keeper in 2014. More names will be invented as necessary.
The president will keep his blindfold in place and tight, whenever there is a Muslim connection.
Illegal immigration: This will be a less volatile issue in 2015, even as 2014’s wave of illegals is assimilated into our schools and welfare services, with the expectation of incorporation into the voting rolls through executive fiat.
The crop of 2015 illegals will not be significantly smaller than the 100,000 or so from this year, but with the system now established, we won’t notice as much.
As for the President’s (illegal) Obamnesty actions, Congress will continue to look the other way; illegals from all over the world will continue to flood into the country through Obama’s open border.
Hacking by institutions and governments will rise dramatically. Now that the FBI has told the world, through its revelations while working for a Japanese-owned Hollywood firm, the status and methods of cyber security maintained by many U.S. firms, hackers will be both informed and emboldened to pursue more attacks.
Obama will continue his imperious ways, unimpeded by anyone in the official food chain. He knows he will never be impeached, no matter what he does, so he will do more and more, without any meaningful impediment.
The only limit to his executive expansion will be polling data that may reject his worst impulses, but there is plenty of damage to be done within already-polled issues. Killing by executive order — even of Americans, even without a trial — will continue, as drones launch missiles against Obama’s enemies and anyone else who might be in his way.
Nothing will stop Obama’s agenda
The economy will continue to expand by hollowing out its fundamentals. The Federal Reserve will continue inflating the money supply to help cover Congress’s unrestrained borrowing and spending; the national debt will rise another trillion dollars, to top $19,000,000,000,000, the largest debt ever run up in the history of the known universe.
The U.S. is not “the richest nation in the world.” It is the broke-est, ever. Ever!
Democrats don’t have to do anything in 2015, except work to gain position for the 2016 elections. They will expend no efforts to anything else. Republicans, for their part and under their traditional moronic leadership, will do everything they can to appear to be the good guys, accommodating the president’s agenda and actions whenever possible and getting nothing in return.
But Republicans aren’t really different from Democrats. They will do absolutely nothing to lower our debt, shrink government, or restore the Constitution
Racial tensions, encouraged by race-baiters from the White House on down, will escalate. General discontent with all things governmental will stoke these fires, with people using racially-tagged protests as cover for other destructive activity.
Most news coverage and virtually all political activity will really be jockeying for position in 2016. Viewers will continue to follow “shiny object” politics, with one ginned-up issue or scandal after another masking the occasional huge scandals.
Understanding the nuances behind these scandals will be impossible. So will ranking them – perfect cover for the enormous power grabs that will take place in their wake.
That’s my optimistic prediction. Happy New Year, everyone!Click here for reuse options!
