CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 13, 2016 — President Obama said of Ramadan on June 6, “For many, this month is an opportunity to focus on reflection and spiritual growth, forgiveness, patience and resilience, compassion for those less fortunate, and unity across communities.”
The reflection is now on broken hearts and souls of the families of 49 people who needlessly died in Orlando.
Nothing ever changes.
On June 12, Obama said of the Orlando shootings “We will not give in to fear or turn against each other. Instead, we will stand united, as Americans, to protect our people, and defend our nation, and to take action against those who threaten us. I’ve directed that the full resources of the federal government be made available for this investigation.”
We have directed the full resources on countless other attacks and investigations, too.
Nothing ever changes.
Obama said on June 12, “The shooter was apparently armed with a handgun and a powerful assault rifle. This massacre is therefore a further reminder of how easy it is for someone to get their hands on a weapon.”
That is, now is the time to change the subject. Forty-nine people died just hours ago in Orlando. More than 50 others were injured. Their families grieve, but while they do, let’s change the subject and talk about gun control.
Obama said on Sunday, this was an “act of terror,” yet he was unable to say what the source of this terror was or who claimed it. He couldn’t utter the word “Islamist.” He couldn’t force himself to say “radical Islam.”
Nothing ever changes.
“Why do they hate us?”
Because they are Muslims and Islam hates all non-believers.
“But Islam is a religion of peace.”
Islam is a religion of peace … if you’re a Muslim. Thank goodness it is peaceful, though. Imagine what it would be like if it were filled with hate.
“Is it possible that this was the act of a lone wolf?”
Yes, a lone wolf trained by ISIS and indoctrinated by Islamic terrorists who have no other goals than killing innocent people in the name of Allah until their religion dominates the world. We have been warned time and time again. When does the complacency end? When do we start to pay attention?
“Not all Muslims are terrorists.”
True, and not all Germans were Nazis, either, but we took them to task and defeated them. Even if only one-tenth of 1 percent of all the Muslims in the world are actual dedicated, devoted terrorists, that number is over a million, far too large to tolerate. We must acknowledge there is a problem and do something about it instead of wringing our hands and talking.
There are realistic solutions. Read the words of David Wood, an Islamic analyst who hits the nail squarely on the head:
(We must begin) confronting Islam with something that (it) can’t hope to overcome. Islam’s only weapons are manipulation, deception and terror. If something is impervious to those weapons, Islam cannot succeed against it. What’s impervious to Islam?
Very simple. An informed population of free people.
If you’re thinking but we already have that, you’re currently part of the problem because what we have now is a misinformed population of gullible drones. (emphasis added)
An informed population of free people will demand truth from the media and the media will have to adapt or they’ll go out of business.
An informed population of free people will elect leaders who make good decisions, not sniveling cowards who sacrifice their country on the altar of political correctness.
An informed population of free people will not fall for taqiyya.
An informed population of free people will never submit.
An informed population of free people will openly criticize Muhammad, and Muhammad cannot stand up criticism.
Any real lasting solution to the problem of Islamic terror must begin with building an informed population (emphasis added) of free people.
The time has come to stop repainting that yellow stripe down our backs in the name of political correctness and bring a halt to the empty chatter and business as usual.
But nothing ever changes.
