WASHINGTON. Democrat freshmen, particularly Ilhan Ohman (D-Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and ever-popular Bronx darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have prompted Senate adults to question just how clueless these newcomers may be.

What is about these newest members that allow them to say what they say. Do what they do. Believe what they believe?

It seems our Freshmen socialist are poorly informed imbeciles who have forgone educating themselves about the very country they seek to lead. Watching their antics, it seems that they are the result of a generation of trophy-winning, I want it my way self centered idiots.

The mind must be fed, just like the body.

Now consider this: As in the example above, our newest Democrats seem to be subsisting on an intellectual starvation diet.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Last week on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Professor Nicholas Giordano of Suffolk Community College explained the thinking of Ocasio-Cortez. Giordano is actually assisting Ocasio-Cortez in her policies.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, that means we have a socialist guiding someone who does not possess the underlying education to understand socialism.

Trying to understand most politicians and their supporters is sometimes a challenge. We wonder if they are as vapid as they seem to be when we watch them on TV. Perhaps they have learned nothing because they were taught nothing? More likely,  they are just winging it.

Carlson accurately expressed the viewpoint of many Americans when he told Giordono that Alexander Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), is “Not only dumb and totally ignorant of everything, but self-assured.”

Have you ever heard the adage, “If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit”? The wisdoms of AOC tend to bear this adage out.

He also wondered what might be some of the reasons behind this phenomenon. One of those reasons, Carlson suggested, might be the quality and content of today’s public education.

Unfortunately, time ran out before Giordano could answer these provocative questions.

Rashida Tlaib

Rashida Tlaib (D-MN) is the first Arab-Muslim American women to be elected to Congress. Instead of using this position to promote anything positive or good, she has devoted much of her time attacking Jews as well as  the President.

The national body politic first got to know Representative Rashida Tlaib when she picked up the microphone to profane President Trump. That was not a smart move, even for a Democrat. But it is something the aggressive Muslim-American congresswoman will not apologize for.

Tlaib’s presidential attack’s aside, Tlaib is a long time supporter of anti-semite Louis Farrakhan.

Tlaib, Farrakhan and anti-Semitism

Farrakhan has decades of anti-Semitic views easily found on the internet where nothing ever really goes away. In his February 2006 Saviours Day Speech, Farrakhan accuses Jews of promoting homosexuality in order to harm the African-American community.

“These false Jews promote the filth of Hollywood that is seeding the American people and the people of the world and bringing you down in moral strength. . . . It’s the wicked Jews, the false Jews, that are promoting lesbianism, homosexuality. It’s the wicked Jews, false Jews, that make it a crime for you to preach the word of God, then they call you homophobic.”

The National Review reports (Report: Tlaib Once Wrote Op-Ed for Anti-Semitic Farrakhan Outlet) that Maher Abdel-qader, a known anti-Semite behind the Palestinian American Congress PAC  has been honored by the congresswoman for supporting her campaign.

Ilhan Omar

Not only is Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar clueless. Politically, she is completely tone deaf.

Out of the three freshman Democrats elected for the 2019-20 Congress and under discussion here, Omar joins Tlaib and Ocasio-Cortez in ensuring that she will not be reelected.

Despite having the support of Jewish constituents in Minnesota, her recent anti-American statements and antics are causing concern.’

In addition, the Minnesota congresswoman has apologized twice for her more recent anti-Semitic tweets. The first was her comment implying Congressional supporters of Israel are in the grip of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

The tweet drew immediate gasps and ire from all political corners.

The Anti-Defamation League response to Omar is:

“At a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise in the U.S. and abroad, Rep. Omar is promoting the ugly, anti-Semitic conspiracy theory that Jews have an outsized influence over politics. The notion that wealthy Jews are controlling the government is a longstanding anti-Semitic trope and one of the pillars of modern anti-Semitism….”

The President has called for Omar to resign, most likely referencing her long-held anti-semitic tropes. Other have called for Democrat leadership to remove her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

State Sen. Ron Latz (D-MN), commenting after Omar’s tweets said:

“I was a bit troubled — all of us were a bit troubled — by the conversation, we had with her. She didn’t apologize for the tweet, she didn’t say she would take it down and she tried to put in in the context of the Gaza dispute, but it was unsatisfactory from our standpoint, from my standpoint, that she didn’t seem to recognize the seriousness of the trope.”

That said, Ilhan is also one of AOC’s hanger-oners. She does not enjoy the same wild-eyed gravitas attributed to the Bronx Bomber. And her in-your-face style falls short of the little sister act Ocasio-Cortez does so well.

However, these handicaps might not deter her bid for reelection in 2020.

The Muslim-American failures of Tlaib and Omar

In the end, Omar, like Tlaib, will be viewed as nothing more than a hijab-wearing failed experiment. As the first Muslim-American Congressperson comes out against the more than seven-million Jews living in America, increasingly becomes a notable national embarrasment. Worthy of note: the Arab American Institute estimates the number of Muslim-Americans to be 3.7 million, while U.S. Census calls the number at 1.7 million. And politics is a numbers game.

Further, according to the 2000 United States Census, there were 72,112 people of Palestinian ancestry living in the United States. That number increased to 85,186 by the time  the 2009-2013 American Community Survey was recorded This is a statistically marginal percentage.

The absolute failures of Tlaib and Omar, then, do nothing to ingratiate Muslims into the American experience. That is tragic, but a fact.

The Hubris of Democrat Freshman changing the party

According to Professor Nicholas Giordano the kind of faulty, simplistic and dangerous thinking of Cortez, Tlaib and Omar derives from two concepts:

  • The Customer is always right.
  • Our children are precious.

Both of these, he claims, have created the “entitlement culture” surrounding us today. As Youtube videos frequently prove, the customer is NOT always right. As any successful parent will tell you, a trophy, or reward must be earned to have value.

People like Alexander Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib and Omar know very little because they are taught very little. They do not do their homework. Have no historical context. Or they are never able to look beyond their latest great idea to see the reality of the world in which they live and work.

Of the three, Alexander Ocasio-Cortez may be the Democrat darling of today. But she likely won’t survive 2020, any more than Omar or Tlaib will. Unless they grasp reality. Which none of them seem to have a grip on.
