WASHINGTON: New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez introduced her Green New Deal in February 2019.
The Green New Deal is an ambitious project that seeks to replace fossil fuel usage with renewable energy solutions.
From time to time Ocasio-Cortez has offered suggestions on how to achieve the goals of the Green New Deal.
Ocasio-Cortez recently caused a stir when she announced the creation of the National Socialist Car Company.
The NSCC will concentrate on manufacturing wind-powered, solar-powered and water-powered vehicles.
Now, A New Idea:
Ocasio-Cortez explains her latest proposal: “We can waterproof our high-speed trains, lay tracks underwater and ride the rails between the continents!”
“This will set into motion a major principal of my Green New Deal: eliminating the need for air travel. Imagine the thrill of traveling under the ocean, watching all the sea life just outside the train window,” she gushed.
She also suggested that underwater train travel would revolutionize the fishing industry.
“It will take fishermen to where the action is, underwater with the fishes.”
When asked what kind of fuel the underwater train engines would use, she said, “oh, that’s easy… they’ll run on sea water.”
