LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2015 — One day after a Texas police officer was murdered in cold blood, an Illinois police officer suffered the same fate.
The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement held a rally a few months ago at where violence was advocated. “What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want them? now!”
After the latest police killings, BLM protesters disrupted the peaceful Minnesota State Fair with an even more horrible message. “Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon!”
Police officers are under siege nationwide.
The BLM movement is racist and segregationist. It could easily be classified as a hate group whose real motives are ideological, not racial. Its message is hate, the same message that comes from leftist agitators of all races.
- Occupy Wall Street protesters were just as leftist and violent, but they were white.
- Wisconsin union protesters who vandalized the state capitol were just as leftist and violent, but they were white.
- Seattle protesters who lit fires at the World Trade Organization meetings were just as leftist and violent, but they were white.
- Animal rights activists and environmental activists who attack AIDS research and have vandalized oil company headquarters are just as leftist and violent, but they are white.
- For leftist Hispanics, there is the separatist group La Raza.
Now there is BLM. The color is different, but the ideology is the same. They claim their cause is racial justice, but it is a political ideology and hardly unique.
First came the Black Panthers. Then came the New Black Panthers. BLM are just the newest radical group.
Like their white counterparts, they are disgruntled community organizers. “No justice, no peace” is most of their vocabulary despite their inability to define “justice” or explain how it will bring peace.
The acronyms change, but these are the intellectual heirs of the SDS and SLA, people who chanted about Flower Power in the 1960s while setting off bombs.
The violence in our streets did not start with President Obama, but he owns the current round of it lock, stock and barrel. His ideological fingerprints are all over it.
In the 1990s, Obama moved comfortably in the intellectual world of University of Illinois Distinguished Professor Bill Ayers, a communist bomber. Ayers was a member of the Weather Underground and a community organizer. He considered himself a fighter for justice; his future wife Bernadine Dohrn set the bomb that killed San Francisco Park Police Sgt. Brian McDonnell in 1970.
Obama launched his 1995 candidacy for the Illinois State Senate in the home of Ayers and Dohrn, who like Obama worked as an adjunct law professor in Chicago. Obama and Ayers deny that they were close, but their political perspectives were nearly the same.
Ayers and Dohrn the revolutionaries and Obama the community organizer have always seen the world as “us versus the Man.” When a white Cambridge police officer legally detained an arrogant black Harvard professor who shouted at him, “Don’t you know who I am?” Obama reflexively and wrongly assumed that the white police officer “acted stupidly.”
With former Attorney General Eric Holder carrying out Obama’s vision, we saw the revolutionary ideal of “social justice”: government by vengeance. You don’t negotiate with political enemies — conservatives legally participating in the political process, business owners trying to survive, police officers trying to enforce the laws — you destroy them.
Obama pits people against each other, foments instability and unleashes violence with no regard for consequences. From whites being abused at polling places to the knockout game, black leftists get the message that violence will be called unacceptable with wink and a nod, then ignored.
Beneath Obama’s calm, too-cool-for-school demeanor is an angry man who lashes out at invisible slights, demonizes people using straw-man arguments, obsesses over fairness and equality and lambastes those who have what he did not have growing up.
Now in power, he uses that power to, in his own words, “reward friends and punish enemies.”
Police officers are his enemies.
They’re the enemies of BLM, too. In this, Black Lives Matter are no different from the white leftists of OWS, who just want anarchy.
Social disorder is the order. Chaos is the norm.
This is what it means to “fundamentally transform” America: taking it from a society of laws to a society where grievance passes for justice.
BLM and OWS are, like BHO, the heirs of SDS. What BHO, OWS and BLM will never understand is that murdering innocent police officers will not ease their pain. Spreading misery never does. Leftists trying to force justice based on some archaic concept of fairness will only drag everybody down with them.
President Obama has no desire to stop the violence; that was never his plan. His inner demons move him to treat others as demons. If a few innocents become collateral damage in the war against those who wronged him, so be it.
Meanwhile, innocent people will continue to be killed while a cold, angry and indifferent president refuses to do anything to stop the violence.
This is community organizing at its finest. This is social justice without balance. This is Barack Obama. This is Hillary Clinton. This is Bill DeBlasio. This is Gavin Newsome. This is Bill Ayers. This is Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse-Tung, Joseph Stalin and every other socialist revolutionary.
This is what happens when justice reaches its logical and pre-planned conclusion.
This is leftism.Click here for reuse options!
