WASHINGTON, March 15, 2014 — Late Night Comedy Central comedian Jon Stewart has started a new YouTube fad: #McConnelling. The funny-man has discovered that a series of clips of Senator Mitch McConnell, put together by Team Mitch, are even more hysterical when put to music. Any music — funk, rock, pop — it all works. My favorite so far is Mylie Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball.
We would love to see this set to Helen Reddy’s I am Woman, Dean Martin’s Amore, Chuck Berry’s My Ding-A-Ling.
Here is the original ad created by Team Mitch.
Here is Jon Stewart starting the latest craze.
