Marco Rubio: Driving while Republican

Benghazi, State Department emails, ethical murk at the Clinton Foundation — it all pales before awfulness of Marco Rubio's speeding tickets.

WASHINGTON, June 11, 2015 — A New York Times exposé  last week found that Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio received four speeding citations over a period of nearly 20 years.

When I lived in Los Angeles, I averaged at least four speeding tickets a year. The road belongs to the young and swift, with frequent freeway lane changes requiring the acrobatic precision of a Blue Angels pilot, where no one is held captive by the posted speed limit.

Not even the LAPD.

“Mr. Rubio’s troubles behind the wheel predate his days in politics,” said the Times ominously. “In 1997, when he was cited for careless driving by a Florida Highway Patrol officer, he was fined and took voluntary driving classes. A dozen years later, in 2009, he was ticketed for speeding on a highway in Duval County and found himself back in driver improvement school.”

And then there is Rubio’s gun moll, Jeanette Rubio. “Mrs. Rubio, a former cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins, sideswiped a Porsche Panamera while driving her husband’s Ford F-150 truck to a donor event at the Delano Hotel in Miami Beach. According to the Miami Herald, the police declined to take a report on the incident because it was a ‘minor’ fender bender.”

An obvious cover-up of immense proportions!

Unethical bedfellows: The Clinton Foundation, media and satire

And, believe it or not, these were the least of the Rubio crime family’s offenses. The Times also discovered, like many Americans, the Rubios believed getting on the real estate escalator was an integral part of attaining the American dream. After all, Uncle Sam has graciously encouraged homeownership through the mortgage-interest deduction and subprime lending.

“Suddenly the owner of three homes, the Rubios saw their liabilities soar to $1 million from $330,000 in just a year… His [Rubio’s] savings rate during that period was about 2 percent,” the Times noted.

And according to POLITICO, a political website based in Virginia, Rubio “finally sold his money-pit of a home in Tallahassee” to “an as-yet-unnamed buyer who purchased the home for $117,000 – $8,000 less than the asking price and $18,000 less” than Rubio and his real estate investment partner paid for it.

If all the above are crimes, the developed world is awash with Al Capones.

Measured against the moral and financial reprobates that form the political tag team known as Bill and Hillary Clinton, the Rubios are the patron saints of the normal. In fact, they are normaloid America.

MSNBC’s Christopher Hayes chided the New York Times ticket exposé, tweeting, “Starting to think Rubio has some plant in the NYT and these supposed ‘hit-jobs’ on him are false flags made to make him look sympathetic.”

It’s interesting how the left is never called on its silly conspiracy theories concerning plants dropped behind enemy lines to carry out false-flag operations to make bad guys look good.

But Hayes’ sneering attack of the Times reinforces the claim by many conservatives that the mainstream media is nothing more than a conduit through which the Democratic Party funnels opposition research. What bothers Hayes is that the opposition research on Rubio isn’t very compelling.

None of Rubio’s so-called foibles compare to those of a former Democratic president boarding a jet known as the “Lolita Express” for allegedly carrying underage prostitutes to service its politically-connected passengers.

According to Nick Bryant at, Bill Clinton “took repeated trips” on the “private passenger jet owned by billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein – with an actress in soft-core porn movies whose name appears in Epstein’s address book under the entry for ‘messages,’ according to flight logbooks … The logs also show that Clinton shared more than a dozen flights with a woman who federal prosecutors believe procured underage girls to sexually service Epstein and his friends.”

Now, that sounds like a story. Especially since the former president, with a history of sexual predation, was never publically condemned for his depravities by wife Hillary.

Hillary used her seriously flawed husband’s political and fundraising clout to win a Senate seat, used it to run for president in 2008, to serve as the nation’s secretary of state and to garner front-runner status in the Democratic Party’s presidential nominating process.

In fact, it is the same Hillary who recently attacked House Republicans for “playing politics with [sex] trafficking victims.”

The “war on women” has a face in the form of Hillary Clinton and the cabal of feminist organizations that have been slavish in their contemptible devotion to Bill Clinton — codependent enablers of evil in the name of political expedience.

And as far as Rubio’s speeding tickets are concerned, by acting like traffic cops attempting to pull to the curb one Hispanic driver’s campaign bus, the mainstream media are most certainly engaged in racial profiling.
