LOS ANGELES: Another day brings another credible accusation of racism against Virginia Democrat. Governor Ralph Northam is caught up in a college-era blackface scandal. Now his Attorney General Mark Herring has confessed to wearing blackface. What makes this all the more interesting is that as Virginia’s Democrat leadership falls, it may land in the lap or Republican Kirk Cox, an elected House of Delegates representative for the last 29 years
Article 5, Section 16 of the Virginia state constitution explains that
Nothing is normal anymore
In normal times, such behavior could be seen as the actions of stupid young people. The offender would go on an apology tour, and all would be forgiven. These are not normal times.
Show any racism in your actions, past or present, and you are done.
Governor Northam is facing calls to resign. Northam is expendable because his Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax is even further to the left and black.
Only Fairfax has been accused of sexual assault, which has feminists running for cover. Because, as you know, all women need to be believed. It is interesting to note that accusers of Justice Brett Kavanaugh are facing possible indictments for lying to Congress (Senate panel refers Avenatti, Kavanaugh accuser Swetnick for criminal investigation).
Unfortunately, for some reason, the Democrats are being very quiet over both Northam’s youthful racism and Fairfax’s sexual assaults. For some reason, Fairfax’s accuser is not to be heard. Despite her credible #MeToo status.
In a vacuum, loudly condemning racism are a good thing. In the real world, the condemnations are selectively applied. Politically actions are not equally weighed on the scales of social justice. The basis is ideological considerations.
Should Whoopi Goldberg, Ted Danson, and Jimmy Kimmel be sent to racist obscurity
Whoopi & Ted
Whoopi Goldberg is the host of The View on ABC. Her audience seems to like and respect her. Ted Danson is a fantastic comedic actor. From the alpha male bartender Sam “Mayday” Malone on “Cheers” to the angry doctor “Becker,” Danson has brought laughs to generations of fans. His newest sitcom “The Good Life” is a ratings success. Both Danson and Goldberg have brought joy and laughter to millions of people. They are talented at what they do.
Blackface and Democrats, Liberal, Social Injustice, Eric golub
They also have their own blackface scandal. Should they be forced out of the public eye? (DANSON’S RACIST ‘HUMOR’ APPALLS CROWD AT ROAST ) Goldberg and Danson became romantically involved during the film “Made in America,” which they both starred in.
While they were dating, Danson appeared on stage at a private event wearing blackface. He made a ton of jokes using the n-word. Goldberg laughed the whole time and passionately defended her then-boyfriend.
The Darling of the Liberal Late Night Hosts – Jimmy Kimmel
Jimmy Kimmel has never given an apology for his blackface stunt, where he took on the persona of Utah Jazz player Karl Malone. Before he landed his late-night gig, Kimmel was behind the sexists and racist “The Man Show” a romp through the ridiculous behavior and lack of social morals of … men.
Kimmel’ has plenty of cringe-inducing antics which he’s never been held to account for. The skit involved Karl Malone, then a player for the NBA’s Utah Jazz. Not only is it rude in its mocking, but Kimmel’s use of “blackspeak” may be more horrific than his blackface.
Roseanne Barr lost it all for nothing
Comedian Roseanne Barr loses her television show, and identity, for a racist remark about Obama consigliere Valerie Jarrett.
Barr was a longtime socialist. However, she upset Hollywood by voicing support for President Donald Trump. And she lost everything.
his is the inequality of social politics. Jimmy Kimmel, Ted Danson, and Whoopi Goldberg are all darlings of the liberal elite. Barr angered Hollywood by voicing support for President Donald Trump.
Equality and Justice, Democrat Style
Democrats constantly beat about equality and justice, yet they are the ones who are constantly applying justice unequally. Judiciary Committee Democrats led by Kamala Harris even tried to make the argument that Kavanaugh had no entitlement to due process much less the presumption of innocence.
Forrest, Stephens, Northam and Harris: Democrats virtue signaling in Dixie
Why should Democrats be held to a more liberal standard than Republicans? Because they are liberal?
When Anita Hill accused Justice Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment, we were all told that what mattered was “the seriousness of the charges.” This only two years after the Anita Hill hearings, Democrats were bending over backward like a White House intern to make excuses for Bill Clinton.
We are either a society where justice is tempered with mercy or we are a lynch mob.
We cannot be both. The days of carrying pitchforks toward Republicans and apology tours on Oprah for Democrats needs to end right now.
Northam’s blackface incident occurred in 1984. He was 25 years old at the time. The Goldberg-Danson (or Danson-Goldberg for the feminists) blackface episode occurred in 1993. Danson was 45 at the time. Goldberg was 37. They both should have known better.
Politicians should hold themselves to a higher standard.
They are in a public trust. So should athletes, who have morals clauses in their contracts. For some reason, liberal Hollywood seems to be the only industry without any required standards of decency. The people who influence our lives through television and the movies are certainly not leading by example.
If Northam needs to exit, then Goldberg and Danson need to go as well. ABC then needs to dump Kimmel, whose net worth is said to be in excess of $45 million and whose longtime ‘partner’ was the often inappropriate Sarah Silverman (Sarah Silverman: Pro-Life Law ‘Makes Me Want To Eat An Aborted Fetus‘)
However, for Silverman, no one, no subject is off limits. But then like her old boyfriend might say, I can do what I want, I am a liberal.
