Impeaching Trump: Democrats are the President’s re-election secret

Written By | Sep 10, 2019

WASHINGTON:  House Democrats are working hard to assure Donald Trump handily wins a second term as the nation’s 45th president. It appears the House will shortly pass a resolution allowing the body’s Democratic majority to form subcommittees in an effort to collect “evidence” of the president’s “high crimes and misdemeanors.”   (THE SCOPE OF THE IMPEACHMENT POWER: WHAT ARE “HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS”?)  Democrat’s goal of impeaching Trump may be the secret weapon to ensure his re-election as #46.

Democratic House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler says these committees will “help ensure our impeachment hearings are informative to Congress and the public while providing the President with the ability to respond to evidence presented against him.”

A new witch hunt by any other name

A few things to remember about Democrats past coup attempt:
  • As we all know, the president was to be impeached for colluding with Vladimir Putin’s Russia to deny Hillary Clinton the Oval Office.
  • That charge was cooked up by British spy Christopher Steele, which he jotted down and placed in a dossier accusing members of Trump’s 2016 election team of working for Russia.
  • As we know, the information in Steele’s dossier was provided by Kremlin sources.
  • And that the dossier was part of a political smear campaign. A campaign bought by the Democratic National Committee, the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, and reported as true by a corrupt and biased news media.
  • As we know, corrupt members of the Justice Department and FBI presented the Democratic Party smears as “evidence” to convince an equally corrupt Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to issue warrants allowing Deep State agencies to spy on Trump campaign functionaries.
  • Finally, as we know, the dossier has since been proven false. A two-year investigation by a special counsel “did not establish that members of the Trump Campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities,” says the Mueller Report.

What’s the beef?

So, what will provide House Democrats a path to impeaching the president?

According to POLITICO (Dems see Trump’s alleged self-dealing as new path to impeachment):

“Democrats have shifted their focus toward reports that Trump is using his presidency to enrich himself, possibly in violation of the Constitution. And they’ve hammered the president more than ever on a range of allegations, from campaign-finance crimes to abuses of power.”

That all sounds a little vague and more like imaginary, Christopher Steele-like smears than violations of statute law. It’s difficult to believe billionaire Trump has any need to use the presidency as a tool to “enrich himself.”

Especially after seeing photographs of the president and his family enjoying the holidays at their lavish Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

The politics of financial gain

The charge that Trump has used the presidency for financial profit is especially laughable in light of revelations concerning former Vice President Joe Biden’s family. (Biden Inc. – Over his decades in office, ‘Middle-Class Joe’s’ family fortunes have closely tracked his political career.)

They attracted investors to family-managed businesses with promises of access to patriarch Joe when he served in the US Senate and later in the White House.

As POLITICO notes,

“… Court records, government filings and news reports, however, reveal that some members of the Biden family have consistently mixed business and politics over nearly half a century, moving from one business to the next as Joe’s stature in Washington grew.”

But the New Yorker’s Adam Entous attempts to put as positive a spin on the Biden family’s financial irregularities as possible:

“When I asked members of Biden’s staff whether they discussed their concerns with the Vice-President, several of them said that they had been too intimidated to do so. ‘Everyone who works for him [Joe Biden] has been screamed at,’ a former adviser told me. Others said that they were wary of hurting his feelings. One business associate told me that Biden, during difficult conversations about his family, ‘got deeply melancholy, which, to me, is more painful than if someone yelled and screamed at me. It’s like you’ve hurt him terribly. That was always my fear, that I would be really touching a very fragile part of him.’”

Well, at least old Joe felt bad his family members were trading on his good name. That is when the old coot wasn’t shouting at staffers who worried the optics of the situation might adversely affect his political standing. Joe’s family corruption is a matter that dwells on our temporal plain. With “records” and “government filings” anchoring it to reality.

Trump’s “impeachable” offenses are crimes of the fevered imagination.

Like the charge, he committed treason by working with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election. Or that he is the titular head of America’s white supremacy movement. Which is itself a minuscule threat magnified by the media’s distorted lens.

Impeaching the Constitution

Impeaching Trump, Democrats, Secret Weapon

It’s all part of the madness that followed in the wake of the Democrats unexpected electoral loss in 2016.

The government they believed President Barack Obama had “fundamentally transformed” into a weaponized, partisan machine failed when confronted by the US Constitution’s safeguard – the Electoral College.

At least seventeen of the Democratic presidential candidates of 2020 support eliminating the Electoral College.

You see, Trump isn’t the true object of the Democrat’s impeachment fever. Rather, it’s the American system of ordered liberty under the law of the land.

And that should provide President Trump with a nifty campaign issue.
