WASHINGTON. Chicken Little Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says we Earthlings have a mere twelve years before man-made climate change renders us extinct. But former Vice President Eye-Popping Joe Biden has done her one better. The front runner for the Democratic Party’s nomination for president told Americans we have a little more than a year before the curtain falls on humankind.
According to Biden, Hurricane Dorian, which devastated the Bahamas last Tuesday, proves climate change is…
“…an existential threat… this guy [President Donald Trump] can no longer deny the science… we can’t wait another 18 months for something to happen in terms of climate. What’s he need? Does he need, ah, you know, [Archangel] Gabriel to come down and say, ‘Hey, this is a real problem.’ I mean, it’s gigantic what’s happening here. The largest storm in the Atlantic.”

Better and worse Angels aside
Let’s forget angels for a moment and get back to science and storms. In 1997, paleontologists in Alberta, Canada, made a remarkable discovery: a mass grave containing the fossilized remains of thousands of Cretaceous dinosaurs.
Democratic-Socialist dinosaurs hype climate change debate
The area covers 568 acres. And the victims are mostly from a herd of horned dinosaurs known as Centrosaurus.

75-million years ago, this area was comprised of flatlands edging a shallow inland sea. Global warming was in high gear – dinosaur flatulence? The world’s mean temperature hovering at around 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Needles to say, there were no polar caps.
And this extreme atmospheric temperature dramatically warmed the sea. This allowing the oceans to gather enough potential energy to generate storms much stronger than a category 5 hurricane. The mega-storm that killed the herd of Centrosauruses generated a tsunami that inundated an area 60 miles inland.
The Seas giveth and taketh away
The sun and sea, whose interactions led to the formation and evolution of life on Earth, on occasion conspire to end life in colossal and frightening ways.
Like that Labor Day in 1935. That’s when 250 men, mostly World War I veterans, died when struck by a Category 5 hurricane on Lower Matecumbe Key in the Florida Straits.
Better in the Bahamas: Making landfall in Freeport before Dorian
The storm generated a 20-foot surge of water that swept many of the victims out to sea. The men were building the Overseas Highway connecting Homestead to Key West.
It was the first such Category 5 storm recorded. But we can assume not the first Category 5 storm.

The Atlantic storm season of 1963 produced nine named storms.
One of which was Hurricane Flora, which intensified into a Category 4 storm that killed 7,193 – among the deadliest on record.
The point is that these storms have been the bane of coastal inhabitants for many years. Including those mighty dinosaurs.
Seven hours of climate virture signaling
Speaking of things threatened by extinction, CNN hosted a 7-hour climate-change town hall last Wednesday night, as if their ratings weren’t low enough.
The event offered Democrats a venue to out virtue-signal one another concerning their plans to single-handedly stand athwart hurricanes and yell, “Stop!!!”
Of course, the power needed to deliver on this herculean task is outside the parameters of America’s constitutional system. Thus requiring dictatorial powers.
This may appeal to millennials obsessed with comic book superheroes imbued with superhero integrity. But no such human can be trusted with such power.

“With great power comes great responsibility”
May govern the actions of Spider-Man, according to Stan Lee via Uncle Ben. But this isn’t a notion Thomas Jefferson would ever endorse.
“Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.”

And it seems adult Americans agree with Jefferson. CNN’s ratings for its seven-hour climate change extravaganza gathered a mere 1.1 million viewers.
Ratings for Fox News, on the other hand, were more than double.
Things are so very good for Americans under the Trump presidency
Democrats running for president have to build up the dastardly reputation of an invisible super villain, Climate Change, to scare snowflake millennials into voting for them. But are the Elementals, like the Climate Change hoax, nothing but an illusion to scare mere mortals?

But it’s reasonable to assume that youngsters enthralled by movies based on comic book superheroes are inclined to seek the same in a presidential candidate.
But that candidate may not be Joe Biden.
While pontificating on the fantastical subject of climate change on CNN, a vessel burst in his left eye, filling it with blood. Biden’s mounting health problems are far more pressing than the natural ebb and flow of Earth climate.
