WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2015 – What would happen if unborn babies were given American civil rights that had to be protected by the U.S. Constitution? What would happen if presidential candidates like Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and others declared that each and every unborn baby’s right to life and personhood would be protected in their presidential administration?
This week, Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, came to Capitol Hill to testify and even defend the organization’s association with butchery and barbaric dissections of unborn babies that were seen on videos. She avoided declaring that the practices of these horrendous actions seen on the videos were wrong, but stated that the videos showcasing and describing these actions were unfairly edited.
Just how far are Americans of faith willing to witness and permit this collusion with mass execution to continue, all in the name of “the right to choose” over the right to God’s gift of life? Step back for a moment and examine your own conscience and ask yourself, just where is the moral line in the sand drawn when the life and the spirit of an unborn child is aborted?
Ecclesiastes 11:5 “As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.”
The American Christian Civil Rights Movement (ACCRM) has clearly taken a stand that is categorically and undeniably on the side of religious faithful that chooses the right to protect life for the unborn baby. Again, ask yourself, as ACCRM does, hasn’t every new discovery in the field of human embryology pointed to conception as the moment when life begins?
The Witherspoon Institute: The Public Discourse public policy group strongly supports the belief that life begins at conception. It stresses that this is when, “A whole and complete human being is created. No scientific discovery—not one—points to any other moment along the continuum of life. And technologies like high-resolution ultrasound have made evident the humanness of unborn children at progressively earlier stages of development.”
Consider the founding principles of “life and liberty” upon which the nation was created. In the Declaration of Independence it clearly states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Are rights to life and liberty only applicable if one can openly defend them in a court of law or in the public square? Or are the right to life and liberty also extended to those who are innocent and unable to argue on their own behalf to be saved from death, execution and dismemberment upon a Planned Parenthood approved operation table?
Black’s Law Dictionary and Bouviers Law Dictionary both agree on this: “You cannot surrender, sell or transfer unalienable rights, they are a gift from the creator to the individual and cannot under any circumstances be surrendered or taken. All individual’s have unalienable rights.” Perhaps the acknowledgement of an unborn baby’s personhood even before 20 weeks in the womb is the next logical and legal step.
The declaration of the personhood of an unborn baby has been taken upon by several states successfully including Missouri and Kansas. The United States Congress has also brought up personhood acts with the Sanctity of Human Life Act and the Life at Conception Act. Now that the GOP controls both houses, it is time for conservative presidential candidates to take the moral step and defy the mainstream media, the Planned Parenthood apologists and the abortion mill industry and listen to a higher calling, the Word of God.
Have not the little children created in the image of God suffered enough since the infamous and immoral U.S. Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision, which gave women the right to destroy 55 million plus lives in the womb? Why was their unalienable right to life and to liberty shattered and destroyed?
What does personhood mean to you and what should personhood mean to those elected leaders who represent your Christian beliefs? A decision on an unborn baby’s right to life and its personhood has never been made by the U.S. Supreme Court. Science and Biblical principles can walk hand in hand and defeat the abortion industry’s every attempt to nullify an unborn baby’s personhood and right to life.
Now is the time for presidential candidates to stand up for the unborn baby’s American civil right to life and to liberty. Perhaps voters in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina Florida and every voting precinct and caucus should demand that an unborn baby’s personhood be considered and defended before the candidate receives their support.
Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy and the absolute right to life and liberty and religious rights that are God-given and unalienable for both the born and unborn in America. So help us God!
