Diversity rears its ugly head on the streets of New York
WASHINGTON, November 2, 2017 — On Tuesday afternoon, diversity killed eight Americans and wounded 12. They were attacked in an act of jihadist terror. Sayfullo Saipov, 29, plowed his rented Home Depot truck into pedestrians and cyclists in New York City. The deadly conveyance was not the truck but political correctness, or more exactly, “diversity.”
Diversity brought Uzbekistani Saipov to America
In 2010, Saipov was the lucky recipient of a diversity visa. Diversity visas are a program which allows 50,000 immigrants to enter America each year “from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States,” according to the U.S. State Department website.
In 1990, President George H.W. Bush addressed a roomful of reporters and members of Congress, including the author of the Immigration Act of 1990, Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts:
“It is the most comprehensive reform of our immigration laws in sixty-six years. And nearly all Americans have ancestors who braved the oceans; liberty-loving risk-takers in search of an ideal. The largest voluntary migration in recorded history … and now we stand again before an open door—a door into tomorrow.”
The lie that led to the deadly consequences of diversity
A majority of Republicans not only like standing before our border’s “open door,” they and their Democratic friends have worked diligently to tear that door off its hinges to use as a bludgeon against the people they allegedly serve, the American people.
President Bush insisted Kennedy’s bill would “close the back door on illegal immigration.” That was a lie. A damned lie, a lie that came with unintended consequences.
Washington’s bipartisan ass hats
The bipartisan liars never dreamed a dormant, historical malignancy would brush the dust from its ancient garments and “brave the oceans” for an opportunity to murder Americans on the streets of their own cities.
Despite this uncomfortable reality, Washington’s bipartisan ass hats in Congress and the courts condemn President Trump’s prudent travel ban and his rescinding of President Obama’s nightmarish “dreamer” policy.
Don’t blame Sayfullo Saipov or ISIS for the recent carnage in New York City. Put the blame where it belongs: the bipartisan, open-borders cabal in Washington, D.C.
