Did you miss the joke that failed at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner?

President laughs

WASHINGTON, May 7, 2014 – President Obama is getting quite a reputation for his comedic timing.

“Fox will miss me when I am gone.  It will be harder to convince folks Hillary was born in Kenya.”

and then there was…

“In 2008 my slogan was ‘Yes, we can…” in 2013 it was “Control, Alt, Delete”

Any good comedienne is only as good as the punch line, and unfortunately for the President there was one thatwas bombed by a technology failure – the slide did not cue.

The joke:

“George W. Bush took up painting after he left office, which inspired me to take up my own artistic side.. I am sure we have a shot of that.. maybe not… the joke doesn’t work without the slide. Oh well, assume it was funny.”

The Today show was able to reveal the punchline.  In case you missed it:

Everything he’s done so far has a punchline, and it’s always the same one – ‘Boom!’
