Democrats’ Impeachment hearings reach a new level of dullness

CHARLOTTE, NC:  There’s an old saying in sports that says “you can’t tell the players without a scorecard.” Such an idea would have been useful as a way to follow the South Salem Democrat’s Impeachment hearings. Also better known as Washington, D.C., where the Donald Trump witch-hunt continues ad infinitum.

For all of the disingenuous reasons the Democrats have conjured in the past three years to oust President Trump from office, the word “retaliation” for being elected has never once passed their lips.

Democrats have opened Pandora’s Box with new levels of absurdity.

Unfortunately, the real tragedy is that they don’t care about the damage they are doing to the country and our system of government every minute this fiasco continues.

And so hearings continued. Hour after hour. Day after day. Blah, blah, blah. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

Impeachment Kangaroo Court smears the honor of Congress

At this point, even that scorecard would be of no value. The questions and answers have dragged us so deeply into the depths of minutia that who knows maybe Kato Kaelin or John Dean may resurface as witnesses. Why not?

Everybody else has.

The best cure for insomnia these days is to watch the impeachment hearings because they are a snooze-fest of the first order.

Democrat’s Impeachment – hearings in search of a crime

When confronted with the idea that Democrats played the “Impeachment Card” long before Trump ever took office in order to focus entirely on finding ways to remove the president from the Oval Office, one Democrat congressman went so far as to spend a considerable amount of his precious questioning time enumerating a list of congressional accomplishments in order to satisfy the critics.

Three cheers to anyone who sat for hour after hour of the media-hyped telecast of the hearings as they hung on every word uttered by witnesses who were playing the role of chairmen of the ‘bored.’

Democrats leaving your country at risk over impeachment

What is, and has been laughable, during the elaborate dog and pony show by the Democrats is that most of them come off looking like precisely what they are, disgruntled bureaucrats. Oddly enough, they apparently don’t even see their inanity despite the fact that most polls indicate that the longer the charade continues the worse it will get.

Only time will tell, but doing the Kevin Costner Tin Cup routine by hitting golf ball after golf into the water just to make a point is no way to solve a problem.

Surely the Democrats saw the public’s response to the Brett Kavanaugh debacle.

Any reasonable person would have seen that result as a strong indicator for not doing impeachment hearings.  (The Time Has Come for Democrats to Impeach Brett Kavanaugh)

Add in the cast of characters currently seeking to be the Democrat’s presidential nominee and regardless of how vulnerable Trump may be, it almost looks as though the Dems would still prefer to eat “grouse” for Christmas dinner for another four years.

For now at least, in the words of Cher who told us ,”The beat goes on“, the Democrats continue to play their foolish game of Political Bridge with a bid of “one, no Trump.”

If they persist, come November 2020, there will be no need for that scorecard because Mr. Trump will be the only one still standing.
