COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., March 4, 2017 – President Trump must realize that his promise of large-scale change inside the beltway represents a direct assault on the political status quo and its practitioners.
And he should not be surprised at the ferocity with which they are and will strike back.
Like it or not, President Trump has a war of his own on his hands and as Leon Trotsky famously once said, “You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.”
On the off-chance President Trump has yet to realize that truth, he is at war against the opposition members from within his own administration – those who’ve recently been renamed the “Deep State.”
There are more than 4,000 roles for political appointees throughout the government, according to the Center for Presidential Transition. In a recent interview with Fox and Friends, President Trump indicated he does not want or need as many political appointees as his predecessors required.
Some of those positions, cabinet secretaries, ambassadors, and independent agency heads, require Senate confirmation. Many other positions do not require Senate input.
Of not filling every position, President Trump said, “Many of those jobs I don’t want to fill. I say, isn’t that a good thing? That’s not a bad thing. That’s a good thing. We’re running a very good, efficient government.”
Not, according to The New York Times. Reporters Peter Baker and Julie Hirschfeld Davis who wrote as much on February 18, when they indicated that Trump’s inability to fill key positions was because he can’t. (Trump, an Outsider Demanding Loyalty, Struggles to Fill Top Posts – February 18, 2017)
President Trump has said that one mission of this administration is to “Drain the swamp.” One way to achieve that goal might be to remove the human flotsam, let the water drain out, and begin anew once he has a better indication of what positions are needed, and which may be outdated or unnecessary. In March, political watchers, including Rush Limbaugh, are alleging that silent political coup d’etat, staged by government insiders, is now underway. The perpetrators of this coup, according to this group, include anyone and everyone at odds with President Trump. The list includes Obama hold-overs, liberal members residing inside the “Deep State,” establishment Republicans, and the Mainstream Media.

The list includes Obama hold-overs, liberal members residing inside the “Deep State,” establishment Republicans, and the Mainstream Media. Their leaks and foot-dragging on all manner of Trump priorities should provide ample evidence of the opposition being encountered by the new president.
The most recent individual to join the effort is Obama aide-de-camp, Valerie Jarrett. She’s literally moving in with the Obamas. One story has it that she will be traveling with the former first lady.
More ominous is that Ms. Jarrett may very well be the keeper of the Obama flame and serve as the commandant of the opposition to the Trump administration from within the “Deep State.”
First reported by Daily Mail, the Obama team is setting up shop at the posh $5.3 million mansion in the Kalorama section of D.C., referring to it as “the nerve center”. (Barack Obama’s close confidante Valerie Jarrett has moved into his new DC home, which is now the nerve center for their plan to mastermind the insurgency against President Trump– March 1, 2017)
President Obama offered us one more little lie as he walked out of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue saying that he wanted to insure a smooth transition for the Trump administration, as was done by President George W. Bush; but we already know Obama is no Bush.
Before he truly dried off from his kite-boarding with Sir Richard Branson (Virgin Airlines), President Obama has been making comments, letting his intention to derail Trump and his policies well known.
In an interview with Fox News, President Trump was questioned about whether Obama’s political group, Organizing for Action, was helping to organize activists to demonstrate, and asked the president whether he suspected Obama himself was behind the efforts.
“I think he [Obama] is behind it,” Trump said. “I also think it’s politics. That’s the way it is.”
It’s clear that former businessman, President Trump, is on a steep learning curve inside the Beltway. But one doubts whether even Donald Trump anticipated the breadth and viciousness of those who want him out. They seek to impugn him, defang him, marginalize him, and to return Washington to its rightful owners – not the people – but the political elite.
What’s clear is that our new president needs his own Praetorian Guard.
In Ancient Rome, the Praetorian Guard were the unit of the Imperial Roman Army formed of elite soldiers, a small group of men around republican magistrates. Their job was to protect civic administrations and the rule of law imposed by the Senate and Emperor.
President Trump must alter his proudly frugal announcement that he would not be filling the 4,000 political positions that are at his disposal. He needs his own team within the administrations ‘Deep State’ now more than ever. He must have a team of razor-sharp attorneys who will see the enemy coming and will act to protect this administration from further damage.
President Trump and the American people are at war with elite globalists, social democrats, and all those snowflakes who cannot see, barring ameliorative steps, a potentially catastrophic history ready to unfold for the United States.
To fight the Deep State, President Trump might also want his own American eagle with sharp eyes trained on our Constitution, and deep talons with which to take out his prey with efficiency and dispatch.
Hire up your Praetorian Guard Mr. Trump. Fill those 4,000 positions. And, guard the ramparts!
