Deep State insurance policies, the press and Intelligence Community coups
WASHINGTON. When President Donald Trump told Americans that the left-wing media are “the enemy of the people,” he was only partially right. His presidential candidacy and later election as the nation’s 45th president triggered an unprecedented opposition campaign. A campaign by Deep State infested US intelligence community (IC) services at home and abroad. That campaign against a duly elected government official has been consistently advanced by the so-called independent press. It amounts to an ongoing intelligence community coup against the president. All part of the carefully developed Deep State insurance policies designed to overturn the results of Election 2016.
Despite the best efforts of the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, Democratic National Committee (DNC), intelligence community, and legacy media, the attempt to brand Trump a traitor in the employ of Vladimir Putin’s Russia fails over and over.
Investigating the Deep State and its friends
As Attorney General William Barr, along with US Attorney John Durham, investigates the origins of the Russia-collusion disinformation campaign, President Trump finds himself embroiled in yet another manufactured scandal. It’s another part of the endless chain of Deep State insurance policies apparently created even before now-President Trump became the GOP standard-bearer in 2016.
But the current phony scandal alleges that Trump “pressured” the president of Ukraine to investigate Obama administration corruption.
In particular, the alleged Trump administration “pressure” was allegedly directed at former Vice President Joe Biden’s efforts to strongarm Ukraine’s government to fire its prosecutor general. He was at the time investigating the crooked business practices of Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian oil and gas company on whose board Hunter Biden, the vice president’s son coincidentally served.
A position that paid young Biden a tidy $50,000 a month.
A CIA whistleblower complaint filed against President Trump accuses him of engaging in Biden-like pressuring of Ukraine. But it is based purely on hearsay. By the whistleblower’s own admission, he or she “was not a direct witness to most of the events described.” It looks and smells like another sub-part in the neverending chain of Deep State insurance machinations geared toward taking down a duly elected American president.
Regarding the IC whistleblower rules, one thing is important to note. Until recently, hearsay complaints in official “Disclosure of Urgent Concern” forms were not allowed. According to the previous rule governing their use:
“First-Hand Information Required
“In order to find an urgent concern ‘credible,’ the IC IG [Intelligence Community Inspector General] must be in possession of reliable, first-hand information. The IC IG cannot transmit information… based on an employee’s second-hand knowledge of wrongdoing.”
The rule was revised, conveniently and in secret by US intelligence services sometime last year or early this year. That looks, in the words of the FBI’s fired counterintelligence chief Peter Strzok, like another policy queued up to deal with a president on a winning streak.
Winning by other means
That winning streak has the Deep State Democrats and their media allies alarmed. They fear Trump is sailing toward an easy victory in 2020. This explains the panicked calls for Trump’s impeachment for investigating into the Joe Biden family’s crimes in Ukraine. Crimes that, coincidentally, have a close connection to the US Deep State’s intelligence operations against the 2016 Trump campaign.
According to The Hill:
“… The Ukrainian Embassy in Washington says a Democratic National Committee (DNC) insider during the 2016 election solicited dirt on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman [Paul Manafort] and even tried to enlist the country’s president to help.”
A conspiracy wrapped in conspiracy theory
The media is nearly universal in telling Americans that all the talk about the Biden family, Obama administration, and DNC’s Ukrainian shenanigans is nothing. Nothing but a “conspiracy theory” promoted by Trump and his allies. But there’s just one problem with the CIA / media axis’ latest disinformation campaign.
As Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani explained to Fox News:
“These are very serious charges… backed up by sworn affidavits… and the Washington press corps [is] trying to protect Biden like they protected Clinton.”
Did you catch that?
Sworn affidavits from the Ukrainian principals involved in the Biden / Obama Ukraine scandal actually exist. Not hearsay or secondhand information like the CIA’s deceptive whistleblower complaint. It’s complex enough to look like another ongoing contribution provided by the Deep State insurance cabal.
According to the sworn affidavit by fired Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor M. Shokin:
“I was forced to leave office, under direct and intense pressure from Joe Biden and the US [Obama] administration. In my conversations with [Ukrainian President] Poroshenko at the time, he was emphatic that I should cease my investigation regarding Burisma [Holdings]. When I did not, he said that the US (via Biden) were refusing to release the USD$ 1 billion promised to Ukraine. He said that he had no choice, therefore, but to ask me to resign.”
It’s clear the only conspiracy theories making the rounds today are those promoted by the CIA and the mainstream media:
- Trump is an agent who worked with Russia to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election; and
- Trump pressured Ukraine’s president to help him influence the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.
Spooks and scribblers
Beginning in 1948, one year after the CIA’s founding, the agency’s Frank Wisner launched Operation MOCKINGBIRD. According to the book “Spies, Wiretaps, and Secret Operations: An Encyclopedia of American Espionage,” the program’s aim was to enlist the services of America’s mainstream media to disseminate US government propaganda:
“Published accounts place the number of American journalists participating in it [Operation MOCKINGBIRD] reaching as high as 400. Reportedly 25 newspapers and wire agencies were under its influence in the early 1950s. Among those journalists linked to it are Joseph Alsop, Ben Bradlee, James Reston, and Walter Pincus. Executives similarly identified are, Henry Luce of Time and Newsweek, Arthur Hays Sulzberger of the New York Times, and Phillip Graham of the Washington Post. Other assets identified include ABC, NBC, and CBS television networks along with the Associated Press and United Press International news wire services.”
Mind control, it’s clear to say, was an early obsession with the CIA. It proved the impetus behind its LSD experiments on unsuspecting Americans in the 1950s. But the historical Deep State / media collusion of Operation MOCKINGBIRD is mere child’s play when compared to the bizarre and complex disinformation campaigns waged against President Trump. Obama weaponizes the US intelligence community
These campaigns began after President Barack Obama weaponized the US intelligence community. An intelligence community, that, as we’ve just seen, has deep, historic roots in the legacy media. Together, they continue to produce disinformation weapons clearly designed to perform the kind of election meddling Putin’s Russia can only dream of.
Recently, the CIA – I mean the Washington Post – said Trump’s
“executive order giving the attorney general broad authority to declassify government secrets threatens to expose US intelligence sources and could distort the FBI and CIA’s roles in investigating Russian interference in the 2016 elections, current and former US officials said.”
Those secrets likely involve plots pertaining to political espionage here at home. And their sources? You’ll find them in a newsroom near you. The media, after all, has played a key role.
AG William Barr and US Attorney John Durham are conducting an investigation into the origins of the Russia-collusion lie. Let’s hope that at its conclusion, they name names.
Harry S Truman distrusted the CIA early in the game
In a 1963 op-ed written for the Washington Post, former President Harry S Truman said:
“For some time, I have been disturbed by the way CIA has been diverted from its original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy-making arm of the Government. This has led to trouble and may have compounded our difficulties in several explosive areas.
“I never had any thought that when I set up the CIA that it would be injected into peacetime cloak and dagger operations. Some of the complications and embarrassment I think we have experienced are in part attributable to the fact that this quiet intelligence arm of the President has been so removed from its intended role that it is being interpreted as a symbol of sinister and mysterious foreign intrigue.”
That interpretation has now become reality. That means, as we can plainly see, the CIA’s key role in the never-ending string of Deep State insurance policies proves that agency is beyond reform. We must dismantle it and start over before its mysterious and sinister minions attempt a bloody coup against our republic itself.
