DOJ cleanup: President Trump, let the pink slips fly for all Deep Staters

Cleaning up the Deep State at DOJ.

WASHINGTON, April 11, 2018: Evidence of corruption at the U.S. Department of Justice – i.e., the DOJ – is piling up. Having searched under every bed and shaken every tree, Deep State Special Counsel Robert Mueller has found no evidence of Trump/Russia collusion thus far. With so little to do, he’s taken to sending corrupt FBI gumshoes he once commanded to raid the offices of President Trump’s longtime attorney Michael Cohen.

DOJ sanctioned witch hunt goes off the rails

It’s time for President Trump to stop tweeting his outrage over Mueller’s “witch hunt” and just fire him already.

And as for his worthless DOJ head, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions – the knee-jerk, weak-sister former GOP senator… Sessions’ well-intended but foolhardy recusal from involvement in a fake Russia scandal prompted Obama-era holdovers at Justice to launch their neverending, evidence-free Trump/Russia collusion witch hunt. It continues more than a year after Trump’s inauguration. It’s high time Trump gave Sessions a swift kick in the pants and out the door as well.

Deep State journalism

Then there’s the Deep State, with its sudden, cozy relationship with a supposedly hostile media.

Back in the mid-1970s, the Senate’s Church Committee held hearings that exposed a host of CIA wrongdoing. But one journalist was upset Congress failed to explore the CIA’s penetration of America’s media.

In a 1977 article published by Rolling Stone magazine, Carl Bernstein of Watergate fame, wrote:

“More than 400 American journalists… in the past twenty-five years have secretly carried out assignments for the Central Intelligence Agency… Some of these relationships with the Agency were tacit; some were explicit. There was cooperation, accommodation and overlap. Journalists provided a full range of clandestine services – from simple intelligence gathering to serving as go-betweens with spies… Reporters shared their notebooks with the CIA. Editors shared their staffs.”

It was thought this practice ended in the years following Watergate.

But something extraordinary happened in the summer of 2016. That, of course, was when Donald Trump was the Republican candidate for president, running against the Deep State’s choice for U.S. chief executive.

Deep State shows its cards

Former Acting CIA Director and long-time Agency functionary Michael Morell clearly understood Americans were about to embark on a serious departure from the status quo.

And Morell was determined to stop it:

“I have always been silent about my preference for president,” Morell wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times, “No longer. On Nov. 8, I will vote for Hillary Clinton. Between now and then, I will do everything I can to ensure that she is elected our 45th president…. Mr. Trump has no experience on national security. Even more important, the character traits he exhibited during the primary season suggests he would be a poor, even dangerous, commander in chief.”

You may recall that Morell was instrumental in crafting the talking points memo regarding the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The memo claimed the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others was due to an American-made, anti-Islamic video.

That, of course, was a lie.

An Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group, we later learned, was responsible for the slaughter. But President Obama was campaigning for re-election that summer on the claim Al Qaeda was “on the run.”

And so, then-Secretary of State Clinton repeated the talking-points lie to the families of our Benghazi dead, while President Obama used it as a pretext to apologize to the Islamic world for American intolerance in a speech before the United Nations.

But in the summer of 2016, CIA spy-guy Morell was distraught over Trump’s “character traits,” complaining that he lacked his and Hillary Clinton’s long experience at lying to the American people.

The New York Times, in an apparent sign of journalism’s truce with the Deep State, gave Morell a platform to vent against their common enemy: the only viable presidential candidate to come from outside America’s corrupt two-party system.

Bring out the pink slips

Trump’s fatal mistake was tapping an establishment Republican to head and reform a corrupt and politicized DOJ. This corruption took hold while Jeff Sessions sat blithely by in the United States Senate for two decades.

It’s high time Trump fire both DOJ witch-hunter-in-chief Robert Mueller and the faint-hearted Jeff Sessions as well. Both are products of the corrupt, bipartisan swamp that is Washington, D.C.

But more importantly, it’s time Trump begins firing – or reassigning to a newly established CIA field office above the Arctic Circle – “corrupt Hillary” Deep-State insurgents from not only DOJ, but from State, the FBI and other intelligence agencies. People like Michael Morell, who work with a dishonest media to bring down America’s duly-elected government.

Trump needs to get through his thick main of orange hair and his equally thick skull that he, as the outsider, is utterly on his own.
