Democrats denying constituents’ voting rights with impeachment charade

CHARLOTTE, NC  Sometimes you just have to wonder what goes through the collective mind of the people we elect to represent us in Congress. Ho-hum, it’s another day in the “Great 2019 Impeachment Charade” that Nancy Pelosi claims makes Watergate look like a Sunday School picnic, or something to that effect. Clearly, her party, those so-called Democrats have busied themselves over the past three years primarily with denying the voting rights of their constituents if they stray from the Socialist Party Line. Their weapon of choice: the perpetual threat of impeachment aimed at the constitutionally elected President of the United States, Donald J. Trump.

Months before Donald Trump ever took the oath of office, the Democrats were screaming “impeachment” while accomplishing nothing. All, of course, to hear them tell it, for the benefit of the American people. In the meantime, what have they done for the American people besides sulk, attack and, occasionally, introduce absurd “legislation” that has no chance of passage. But that’s loaded with plenty of propaganda. What a waste of taxpayer money.

The never-ending impeachment charade itself represents the biggest grudge in history since Muhammad packed up his camels in Mecca and headed for Medina.

The impeachment charade is just one stunt after another

Those same brave Democratic crusaders who laid everything on the line to protect us from the evils of now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh are once again donning their superhero capes. It’s all part of their neverending quest to protect the interests of those they were elected to serve.

Or is that really what they’re doing?

Does the 15th Amdendment permit voters to be disenfranchised by Congress?

Consider for a moment that the 15th Amendment to the Constitution was passed by Congress on February 26, 1869, and ratified on February 3, 1870. It guaranteed the right to vote and guaranteed that right cannot be denied on the basis of race. Specifically, Section I of that amendement states:

“The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.”

Forget, for the moment, about the racial aspect of this amendment. Nowhere in this declaration does the amendment grant the right to Congress to deny Americans the right to vote. Yet Pelosi’s Marauders and their strenuous yet feeble attempts to oust Donald Trump are, in essence, doing precisely that. Their current impeachment charade aims to deny their constituents the opportunity to remove the current president from office at the ballot box. Presumably, they want to wallow in the glory of doing it instead. Since they know better.

So, did Hillary the Democrats accept the results of the 2016 election?

Even BDT (Before Donald Trump), the party that calls itself the Democrats has proved utterly incapable of handling defeat. Rather than playing by the rules, as they always expect their opponents to do, they deem it necessary to change those time-honored in the middle of the game. And Hillary Clinton pointedly worried, in the presidential debates, that Donald Trump would not accept the results of the 2016 election!

Unfortunately for them, the Democrats waited too long to fire their “kill shot.” The first four years of the #Resistance game will almost be over, even if their absurd “impeachment process” succeeds. Which in all likelihood, it will not.

As  The Federalist notes:

“The upshot is that Democrats know this isn’t going well, or at least as well as they had hoped. And yet, they appear to feel that if they have gone this far they have to see it through. They will have a day or two to celebrate with the base the symbolic victory of impeaching Trump, the top policy position of the party for three years now. Then they can pivot to calling every GOP senator who doesn’t vote to convict, a corrupt hack.”

So now the question becomes something different. Namely, why alienate your own voters by preventing them from personally registering their displeasure with President Trump and his allies at the polls in November of 2020?

Do today’s kangaroo court Democrats actually stand for anything American?

Today, the only people buying into the Democrats’ lies and empty rhetoric are already in the choir. For most of the rest of us, their endless impeachment stunt is just that. A stunt. A show. And one that needs to be cancelled.

For now, the only saving grace for the Democrats is this. No matter how angry they may be with their own party, they will always dislike the opposition even more.

But there are certainly party members who desperately want the whole impeachment charade and fiasco to disappear. As soon as possible. They know that the longer it drags on, the greater the leverage against them, come November 2020.

Perhaps the Democrats should have let national politics run its course naturally. That way, the anti-Trumpers could at the very least pretend they’ve accomplished something other than a kangaroo court-like stunt.
