PHILADELPHIA, July 25, 2016 — Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will officially become the Democrat presidential nominee when the Tuesday convention roll call vote takes place. The vote will be meaningless.
Former Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders owns the Democrat Party.
Leaked Wikipedia emails showed that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and other Democrat National Committee staffers deliberately rigged the primaries in favor of Mrs. Clinton.
Outraged Sanders supporters demanded Wasserman-Schultz’s resignation as the head of the DNC, and she will be ousted once the convention ends.
The Sanders supporters are not interested in peace. Many of them are lifelong rioters, and now they have Clinton in their sights. They booed virtually every speaker Monday night, even the sainted Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Despite being everything the left dreams about, Warren’s endorsement of Clinton was too much for the Bernie supporters to tolerate. As she spoke, Bernie delegates at the Wells Fargo center chanted “We trusted you!”
Even Bernie himself has been criticized for endorsing Clinton.
This is a Bernie convention in every aspect, from the policy proposals to the speeches to the anger flowing inside and outside the convention.
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers talk about loving America while not displaying a single American flag on the stage.
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers glorify illegal immigration and attack Donald Trump’s wall proposal while building giant walls around the convention stage and the convention center.
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers vow to protect every racial and minority group except Jews. The most discriminated against people did not rate a mention in the wake of a Democrat Congressman referring to Jews as “termites.”
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers obsess over climate change and neglect to mention radical Islam.
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers thunder about LGBTQ rights while supporting a woman who was anti-gay marriage until 2013. While Donald Trump was supporting gay rights for over two decades, Hillary Clinton was supporting the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act to save her husband Bill’s reelection to the White House.
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers rail about all of America’s problems without noting that Democrats have been in charge since 2009 and failed to fix those very problems.
Only at a Bernie convention would speakers attack big banks while holding their convention at the Wells Fargo Center.
Only at a Bernie convention would complaints, screams, and rage be considered a hopeful vision for America.
First Lady Michelle Obama exclaimed, “I woke up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.”
Most victims of slavery do not receive $321,000 jobs, which Mrs. Obama did in Chicago when she first started out.
She also thundered that, “Hillary Clinton has never quit on anything in her life.” The families of the four men who died in Benghazi would sharply disagree.
Elizabeth Warren railed about income inequality while praising President Barack Obama, the man who since 2009 has presided over and exacerbated that very income inequality. Ms. Warren herself is an upper-class rich white liberal who made millions of dollars flipping houses.
She became rich off of the misery of others during the 2008 financial crash. In her world, that makes Donald Trump a greedy capitalist.
Warren screamed that “the system is rigged.” It’s her system. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Elizabeth warren have all gotten wealthy over the very system they decry.
Longtime respected news reporter Brit Hum noted of Warren that, “She doesn’t seem to be a particularly happy person.” He inquired if she ever smiles.
Mrs. Obama and Mrs. Warren were just window dressing. Sanders brought the crowd to its feet with a four-minute standing ovation. A large plurality of the DNC crowd reluctantly tolerates Hillary Clinton. They worship Bernie Sanders.
Sanders gave the crowd what it wanted. He offered free everything for everybody without saying how he would pay for it. Hillary Clinton is the best person to carry on his vision despite her sharp disagreements with that vision.
Muslims, gays, women and Sikhs deserve to be protected. Jews do not rate a single mention. While Sanders is Jewish, he refers to himself frequently as the “son of Polish immigrants” to avoid upsetting the increasing anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian sentiment among the Democrat delegates.
Barring a miracle transforming Hillary Clinton into a brilliant speaker, she has already been upstaged at her own convention.
She spent her adult life playing second fiddle to Bill Clinton. Then as Secretary of State she took orders from President Barack Obama. Being less liked than Elizabeth Warren is tough on her. Playing second fiddle to a 75-year old Vermont Socialist is more than she can stomach.
It is what it is. Sanders is promising a revolution. Clinton is the cautious, incrementalist promising change while clinging to the status quo.
The Democrat delegates want to tear everything down. They want a revolution. However Sanders’ delegates are being pushed to the rafters with only those state delegations that are loyal to Clinton.
Judging by the thunderous applause in Philadelphia, they do not want Hillary. They want Bernie.Click here for reuse options!
