WASHINGTON: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not a cause celebre but a result celebre. And America’s youth celebrates her. Youth demands what it demands. All is fine and good.
Youth is fertile ground for expanding seeds of thought. However, a fertile field will grow a lush crop of weeds without tending. And without appropriate table manners, a wasteful and childish food fight will break out.
AOC is at it again. She opened her mouth.
Ocasio-Cortex is pouring forth nonsense at whatever juvenile peer-review audience is in front of her. In front of a head-nodding Chris-Hayes (just turned 40) audience, she compared the terrorist attack commensurate with 9-11 to a hurricane that resulted in the loss of several thousand lives in Puerto Rico.
Some seem to think that the loss of life alone was the comparison—around 3000 for each. However, probably not so. Her underlying concept to the hurricane disaster is that climate change was responsible for the hurricane, ergo the loss of life.

Climate change is the sort of nonsense that serving youth. Moreover, this silly little woman gets paid with taxpayer dollars for it,
No point in beating the climate change folly to death.
To the so-called “grown-ups” who lay claim to its veracity, it is a financial business via grants from either government or tax-free foundations. Check Al Gore’s bank account. (U.S. GAO – Key Issues: Climate Change Funding and Management)
The “children,” like AOC, will believe anything. That’s why she is often called an idiot. (“AOC Goes Full Idiot: Compares the Border Wall to the Berlin Wall”: Chicks on the Right)
However, perhaps all is not lost.
Armani Salago
Down in Florida, a long and safe distance from the less fertile learning fields of the Bronx (too much fertilizer would be my guess) is a young 23-year-old young man by the name of Armani Salago is challenging ACO for the title of youngest on the hill.
Nancy Pelosi: “I have my power and I want yours too.”
Mr. Salago will turn 25, just before the 2020 election. The contender doesn’t have to be 25 until he is sworn in to serve in Congress. As a recent guest on Fox and Friends, he demonstrates intelligence and articulation that one could only hope Democrats and too many Republicans could understand.
Mr. Salago, a history major from the University of Central Florida, plans to run as a congressman in Florida’s 7th district in the 2020 elections.
Salago tells Fox’s Ainsley Earhardt he wants to be a representative, a bridge between the people and the government in Washington. He states, correctly, that is what a representative should be. Their role is not to be a reactionary activist.
“We don’t need activists; we need representatives. I don’t want to be just a know-it-all bureaucrat.” Armani Salago
Salago shows the kind of character and mental acumen that could save the future for some semblance of a genuine republic.
However, it will be an uphill battle with the National Education system embedded by previous AOCs. They are the ones that have grown up to be Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Jeb Bush, Cory Booker, Chief-ett Warren, Lisa Murkowski, Hillary Clinton and on and on with the lush crop of weeds.
Moreover, it will take a weed eater project more significant than a moon landing to clear the field.
