Sing It America announcement Friday at National Press Club

Announcing September's Dawn to Dawn event at a National Press Club leadership luncheon this friday .

WASHINGTON, June 22, 2015 – Sing It America will be announcing plans and sponsors for their September 14 Dawn to Dawn event on Friday July 24 at a National Press Club noon Leadership Luncheon. The patriotic organization will be focusing on details for the celebration of the Year of Thanksgiving for the National Anthem Bicentennial.

The year of observance was launched last year by a US Senate unanimous vote Historical Commemorative Resolution #550. The resolution designated that the year of celebration would be Sept 14 2014 to Sept 14, 2015. Officials and supporters of the historic celebration are expected to attend the leadership luncheon where additional information concerning the historic event will be revealed. Organization officials are expecting tens of thousands of participants from around the nation to honor the Star Spangled Banner.

The National Anthem’s celebration is more essential than at any time in the nation’s history if a recent Rasmussen report findings is a guide. According to the report as many as 15% of Millennials would allow for the Star Spangled Banner to be replaced for a “one world friendly” less militarily offensive tune.

Interestingly enough, former First Lady Laura Bush made an attempt in 2005 to initiate a ‘save the anthem’ initiative to bring attention to the need to preserve the nation’s musical patriotic symbol. The crucial importance of the National Anthem was reflected in the words of a 3-star general who stated, “The National Anthem is our Patriotic Anchor to Our National Defense,” according to Sing It America.

Americans will be thrilled to be a part of the leadership luncheon and learn about the many national speakers including probable presidential candidates who will be sharing their patriotic thoughts. Luncheon participants will also discover how they can be an integral part in bringing in excited crowds and supporters to the September celebration or help to create 50 state synced activities on the last day of Thanksgiving Sept 14 2015.

The theme “From Dawn’s Early Light to Dawn’s Early Light” actually reflects the myriad of jubilant family friendly, individual and group activities that will be available. Some of those many activities will involve veterans, contests for school children, an Israeli Salute, musicians, Crowd-Sing-A-Longs, Yacht Club Patriotic decorations, possible fireworks, Congressional Hour, and much more.

The Sing It America Leadership Luncheon will be held in the National Press Club’s Reliable Source Cafe, located on the 14th floor on 14th and F Street in Washington, DC.  Opening remarks will be provided for by Chaplain of US Congress: Pat Conroy along with welcoming words from Sing It America’s Executive Director: Dr. Shelli Manuel.
