While it does not hurt to have gun laws that make ownership or par with getting a drivers license, the last time the British tried to bully America into disarming there was a Revolution that left the Brits bruised and bloodied.

Maybe there is a lesson to be learned from Morgan.  Instead of digging your heels into an entrenched “all or nothing” position that relies on bullying and intimidation to get your way, maybe you could have used your platform to bring people to the table to find solutions?

But then, if you were an American Piers Morgan you would be aligned with the governance by tyranny group.  So what more could we expect? And remember, when you get a next job, it might make sense to treat those you disagree with respect – whether you think they deserve it or not.

Because regardless of what your mother says, it’s never been about you.

  • I enjoyed Piers Morgan in his role as a judge on America’s Got Talent. I never once bothered to watch his CNN show. What the heck, bring back Larry King. In the meantime, I think Piers would be far more comfortable back in Great Britain where he doesn’t have to worry about armed citizens in his midst, just armed criminals.

That was a SOL and COL (Smile Out Loud and Chuckle Out Loud), Jacquie! Nice job. As I once said regarding Piers, “Piers – don’t let the door catch you on the bum on the way out!”

When I arrived in the US a friend told me: “You can talk about anything in America except against guns and fast cars”. Doesn’t sound to me like free speech.
