A nifty way to spray! The Citrus Spray by LeKue (review0


LOS ANGELES, May 10, 2014 — Every Chef knows how important fresh citrus juice is in cooking. The Citrus Spray made by LeKue is a small one-piece sprayer that allows the home cook to tap the fresh juice of lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruit easily by screwing the spray nozzle directly into the fruit.

Citrus Test:


Step 1- wash and dry the lemon;

Step 2- cut the growing end off of the lemon;

Step 3- screw the citrus spray into the lemon until the green top covers the cut portion of the lemon;

Step 4- aim at the desired objects and press down on the button.

2 hours after the pump was inserted into the lemon- lemon juice stream was still fluid and plentiful.

4 hours after the pump was inserted into the lemon- lemon juice stream was still fluid and plentiful.

6 hours after the pump was inserted into the lemon- lemon juice stream was still fluid and plentiful.

24 hours after the pump was inserted into the lemon- lemon juice was dripping and not evenly spraying.

The Citrus Spray gives a perfect amount of lemon juice sprayed from the lemon for at least the first six hours after putting in the pump. There was no drippage and it actually created quite a lot of juice when sprayed.

After 24 hours it didn’t work as well. The holes in the cylinder are so small that it didn’t show signs of clogging.


First, the Citrus Spray is small and sturdy.

Second, it is very portable.

Third and most importantly it gives the result you were hoping for, a nice mist of fresh citrus.


It is tricky to clean the pulp out of the vessel because there isn’t an easy access.

Overall Rating: 1 cup out of 1 cup.

The Citrus Spray is a fantastic product that will help any cook be a better cook.  This product belongs in every kitchen and it is especially great for those who want to be healthier cooks.

The best way to use this kitchen tool is to spray it after preparation to add an extra layer of flavor, i.e. salads, pastas, rice, meats, and vegetables.
