VIRGINIA, November 25, 2014 — Is Dr. Huxtable actually an anesthesiologist? Maybe so, as so many women are claiming the good doc put them to sleep prior to raping them. In recent weeks, 16 women have come forth with stories of being sexually brutalized by the once beloved comedian, Bill Cosby.
What’s the story, here? Is Cosby having serial with his Jell-O?
In the 1960’s, America’s Father was Robert Young of “Father Knows Best” and from 1978 until 1983 it was Michael Landon of “Little House on the Prairie” then 1984 to 1992, Bill Cosby on “The Cosby Show”.
Cosby came from humble beginnings but had talent, drive and tenacity as he decided very young as a shoe repair apprentice, this was not a career for him and joined the U.S. Navy. He worked as a physical therapist at Bethesda Naval hospital tending to seriously wounded Korean War soldiers then got his high school equivalency.
Winning a track and field scholarship to Temple University, Cosby set out to use his ability to make people laugh and joined the nightclub circuit doing stand-up comedy. As they say, the rest is history.
Cosby, the recipient of the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award, Kennedy Center Honors, among the “100 Greatest African Americans”, Presidential Medal of Freedom and about 30 honorary doctorate awards and his own Ph.D. in communications is now accused of being a long time serial rapist with a history of paying some victims for their silence.
So why does a man with so much going for him and more money than God do such allegedly terrible things to women?
Control. If what is being said of Cosby is true, then he is no different than any rapist from any walk of life. Rapists rape for control.
Over the years, Cosby could get his share of sex on demand from a number of available women and did not have to resort to brutality, but for some men, this type of sex is not satisfying. He must control, manipulate, dominate and have his way as he feels fit. The difference between Cosby – if he did indeed commit these assaults – and a rapist with a lesser reputation or bank account is that he can hide behind his image and financial balance.
Cosby has not been accused of beating anyone severely or using a weapon such as a knife or gun, but under the circumstances, drugs were his weapon.
Over the years, Bill Murray, John Lennon, Mike Tyson, Rick James, Michael Jackson, CeeLo green, Julian Assange, Tupac Shakur, Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn, Woody Allen, Chris Brown and Nicholas Cage to name a few, have been accused of brutalizing women but never paid a price as celebrities seem to get a pass on poor behavior.
Cosby’s recent stand-up show brought warm applause and he may think this too, shall pass and in this world of rapidly changing events, sound bites and new news getting old fast, he may be right. How sad.
If what is said of Cosby is true, and it would be difficult to believe 16 women are lying, Jell-O head needs to be brought to justice.
