DENVER, April 6, 2015 — Have you dreamed about spending the entire night in a Disney park? Well, now is your chance. Disney parks on both coasts will host a spectacular 24-hour event to launch its summer celebrations.
Walt Disney World in Orlando will open the gates to Magic Kingdom from 6 a.m. May 22 to 6 a.m. May 23 for a magical 24-hour party. Walt Disney World is launching its “Coolest Summer Ever” campaign. Magic Kingdom will have a large selection of attractions open throughout the entire event. There will also be fireworks, parades, character experiences and other surprise entertainment for the whole family. Adults are typically not allowed to wear costumes to the park, but this event is an exception. The whole family is encouraged to wear kid-friendly and appropriate costumes to show their Disney side. Get ready for a day of adventures, laughs and of course… MAGIC!
Disney World’s “Coolest Summer Ever” campaign will surely thrill guests of any age. There are special savings to be had at the WDW resorts this summer. Packages can be purchased at up to 30 percent off normal prices. Frozen Summer Fun is coming back to Orlando and bringing Elsa, Anna, Olaf and all of their friends to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for daily appearances. If you are not up to trek to Orlando, don’t worry because Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., has some amazing events planned to celebrate 60 years of Magic. The 24-hour event at the first ever Disney park will kick off the “Diamond Celebration.” Disneyland and California Adventure will be open from 6 a.m. May 22 to 6 a.m. May 23. Disneyland is pulling out all the stops for this event. There will be dance parties, special character experiences and the unveiling of the new shows and parades for the Diamond Celebration. Guests will be able to see the spectacular Diamond Celebration décor throughout the parks. There will be three new and improved entertainment spectacles. Guests can witness the all new “Paint the Night” parade in Disneyland park which is the first all LED parade in Disneyland history.
You can also see the new “Disneyland Forever” fireworks display. This display will surely be breathtaking with giant projection screens, incredible pyrotechnics and of course a little bit of pixie dust.
“World of Color” will be returning to California Adventure and hosted by none other than Neil Patrick Harris and the boss himself Mickey Mouse. If you have never seen “World of Color,” you must add this to your to-do list, it is absolutely spectacular.
Costumes will not be allowed at the Disneyland event except for guests 10 years old and under. Disneyland will be running the special Diamond Celebration events throughout the year, so if you cannot make the 24= hour event, you still have a few months to see the new entertainment.
