WASHINGTON, January 28, 2016 – Today’s ceremony to recognize those that have famously, and infamously, defended the state of Israel and Jews, was held at the Israeli Embassy in Washington marking the first time the event was held in the U.S.
Eric Cortellessa from The Times of Israel reports on the event held on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. President Obama said the unusual gathering was to “make real the call to ‘never forget.’”
