MIAMI, February 16, 2015 – When managing one’s quantum particles in this time/space world, we must not forget we reside in an actual body. That body needs care, attention, nutrition and movement.
It is a new year and many of us want to look good. More importantly, we want to feel good every day.
Passionate about all things transformation, I decided to seek out Miami fitness expert Matt Pack for direction on managing my physical particles for 2015.
Q: What inspired you to get into fitness?
A: My mother was a teacher and I always gravitated toward teaching, coaching and changing lives. With health, you impact so much of the quality of a person’s life. When you look better you feel better and that impacts everything.
Q: Do you personally find it challenging to stay fit at times?
A: Passion is my alarm clock. I get up at 4:30AM and I am ready to go. The big challenge is when you do not have passion for something. This is why movement is medicine to me. It can make you happy, feel good, improve your life, physical chemical makeup and attitude. It gives you peace of mind.
Q: I noticed you do small group sessions instead of one-on-one. Isn’t personal attention better verses a group?
A: The group allows for real one-on-one focus and its affordable.When people are in a group there is also added support and accountability. Having others part of your transformation plan is a powerful motivator in staying on track with your fitness goals.
Q: I find the first thing to get cancelled on a person’s calendar is the workout hour when busy. How can someone overcome the habit of procrastination? More accurately stated, how can I stop procrastinating?
A: Exercise can prevent degenerative disease, decrease blood pressure, reduce stress, improve relationships, ward off mental illness, improve hormones – so much is impacted by staying fit and active. When you look at adding this ONE THING to your regular routine it saves you time, money and health issues – that ultimately impact your work life and livelihood.
Q: Is there one exercise that can positively impact most people? A one-size fits all?
A: Whatever makes you happy. If you are happy moving a certain way in a certain direction, you will be consistent and it will offer benefits. Resistance training as well as being balanced in your approach important – but enjoying the activity is the real key to success.
